The Wahoo KICKR Core is the midpoint between the KICKR Snap and KICKR Power Trainer. This interactive direct drive bike trainer has a maximum power of 1800 watt, its maximum incline percentage is 16% and the trainer has a heavy flywheel. That means the KICKR performs almost as well as Wahoo's top model. And all that for a great price-performance ratio. Team Ineos has been training with Wahoo KICKR bike trainers for years, so you can expect high quality.
The Wahoo KICKR Core is suitable for almost every bike
The KICKR Core is suitable for bikes with between 130 and 135 mm width for quick release spanners, which means you can use this trainer with your road bike as well as your mountain bike. The KICKR Core is also compatible with 12 x 142 and "Boost" 12 x 148 thru axles. It has enough space for disc brakes, and every bike with a wheel size between 24 and 29 inches easily fits in this KICKR Core bike trainer.
High power and considerable incline percentages
The power meter is even more accurate than that of the Wahoo KICKR Snap, and can generate no less than 1800 watts. The KICKR can simulate incline percentages up to 16%, and the algorithms have been adapted to provide you with a highly realistic cycling feeling while sprinting and climbing. The resistance changes smoothly, without feeling choppy. This is especially important while accelerating, slowing down, climbing or descending, and with Zwift this is more realistic than ever before.
Compatible with Wahoo KICKR Climb
The Wahoo KICKR Core is of course compatible with the Wahoo KICKR Climb. When paired with the KICKR Climb, it'll automatically react to the data of the virtual trail. Your bike will move up and down at the front fork, so you'll have to take on a realistic climbing and descending position. This ensures your climbing muscles get more realistic use, and you can improve your climbing techniques. Please note: the Wahoo KICKR Climb is not included with this trainer.
Has adjustable gear alignment for optimal chain positioning and seamless compatibility with almost every 8-12 speed bike. Zwift Cog replaces your cassette and is the only gear you'll need. The integrated protective hood keeps your chain in place, so you can ride without problems or maintenance.
Zwift Click
Enjoy wireless, virtual shifting with Zwift Click. Easily install this wireless remote control on your handlebars, whether they're road bike handlebars, flat handlebars or aero handlebars, and shift wherever you want.
Virtual shifting
Climb and fly downhill with 24 silent, smooth virtual gears. Virtual shifting is activated using the Zwift Click and works by adjusting the trainer's resistance, which simulates different gears without necessitating any lateral chain movement.
LED lights inform you about your connection
The LED lights make sure you can easily tell when you've paired the trainer over Bluetooth, ANT+ FE-C or ANT+. They also let you know if your trainer is connected to a power source.
Wahoo ELEMNT (Bolt) bike computer
The Wahoo ELEMNT and Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt can be used to control the Wahoo KICKR Core, via no less than 5 different programs. Plus, if you've used them to bike a route via GPX, you can simulate these rides on your trainer. It'll adjust its resistance automatically based on the saved GPS coordinates.
Can also be used as a stand alone trainer
The Wahoo KICKR Core can also be used as a standalone bike trainer when it's not paired to a phone, tablet, computer or bike computer. Simply connect it to a power source and just bike and shift like usual. The trainer has an integrated, progressive power curve that simulates air resistance and adapts automatically while you're cycling, for a more realistic cycling feel.
You'll need an extra adapter for these bikes, which you can find here.

A perfect smart trainer for my needs.
The Kickr Core really surprised me in terms of noise development. At first I was sceptical as to whether it would be suitable for a rented flat, but I was convinced by the whisper-quiet whirring. The fan on the side table is much louder. I first tried to mount my MTB with a single chainring, but the chain skew with the Zwift Cog is too strong. But with the road bike on the small chainring it's great. I really enjoy the wahoo Kickr Core.

Value for money.
It is really easy to set-up and hook my bike on. As a novice when it comes to biking, it was easy for me :)

Almost perfect exercise bike
It does what it's supposed to do and it's pretty quiet. It is quickly set up and off you go for your first ride. The best thing is the virtual shifting, which takes some getting used to but then works by itself. I would buy it again. It would be perfect if the Core could also be used as a Bluetooth hub like the more expensive Kickr, but I realised that when I bought it. I use it like this with my laptop on the Apple TV.

Now driving home is really fun ;)
There is a very good description on the homepage, which definitely convinced me to make the purchase. The goods arrived quickly and very well packaged. I installed the Kickr Core straight away. It was done quickly. I initially paired the power sensor via ANT+ and then the virtual circuit. Then I got the message that the virtual circuit was not working with ANT+. It then took me a few attempts to disconnect the ANT+ interface completely and then paired everything with Bluetooth, which did not affect the accuracy of the data. And then I was ready to start virtual racing on the platform, where the virtual gearstick also works :) I am very happy with the product and my child thanks me because I can shift gears quietly, especially at times when a child is sleeping ;)
