SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 12 Speed Cassette

The Sram NX Eagle PG-1230 cassette provides mountain bikers with just a little more climbing range. Ideally combined with a 30t, 32t or 34t single ring in front. The PG-1230 is the only Eagle cassette whose sustainability and strength makes it suitable for electric mountain bikes too.

Technology

Very strong and durable: developed for E-MTB's
The SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 12 speed cassette is made from four extra strong steel cogs mounted on a lightweight aluminium spider. The remaining eight cogs are made from lightweight but durable steel. This makes the cassette as light as possible, but it can still withstand the power transfer of an E-MTB.

Quick shifting with the Powerglide system
This cassette has a wide range so you can always find the right gear. From high speed on descents, to a climbing gear for the steepest climbs. The Powerglide system ensures that it all goes smoothly, using a special production method from SRAM. The cogs are pressed and CNC machined for a better detailed finish.

Gear ratios
The SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 12 speed cassette has a wide range and a very large climbing gear. The gear ratio distribution is as follows:
11-50: 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 25, 28, 32, 36, 42, 50

Compatibility

This SRAM NX Eagle cassette is compatible with all Shimano/SRAM bodies, with the exception of XD bodies. It can also be used with all SRAM Eagle systems. Recommended compatible chains include Pc-XX1, X01 Eagle, GX Eagle and NX Eagle chain.

To mount this cassette you need specific tools. These can be found here.

Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring of your cassette can be well tightened, in some cases up to 40 Nm. To make removing the lockring in the future easier, we recommend lubricating it with a bit of assembly grease. You can find our selection of assembly greases here.

User tips

How often should I wash my bike? Regular washing will keep your bike in good nick. It ensures that the parts on your bike last longer so that you can enjoy cycling happiness for longer. How often you should wash your bike is largely dependent on what sort of weather conditions you ride in. Are you always out there, come rain or shine? Or are you a strictly a fair-weather cyclist? It all has an influence on the degree of wear on bike parts, and some of us have to wash our bikes more regularly than others. Refer to the plan below as a general guideline:

October to March:
• Wash every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and lube the chain after every ride
• Let the bike dry at room temperature

April to September:
• Wash every 300 km
• Rinse after a ride in the rain
• Dry and lube the chain after rinsing or washing
• Let the bike dry at room temperature
