Thanks to the built-in MP3 player with 32GB of storage, you can enjoy listening to music even without a connection to your mobile phone or a mobile network (I’ve loaded 8,500 tracks of my favourite music onto it). This means you can enjoy great music at any time, even in supermarkets or underground car parks where there’s no mobile signal. So this feature is far more useful than just for swimming and diving. The sound quality is sensational for bone conduction headphones: rich bass and clear treble. A real treat. And the principle of bone conduction headphones, which leave the ear canals open, means you’re always connected to your surroundings, both for conversations and when out and about. This Open Swim Pro also has excellent background noise cancellation. Even when running in the wind or cycling with the wind in my face, the people I’m talking to on the phone can understand me perfectly.

I think this is a brilliant product for athletes. You can swim, run and ride a bike just fine with these earpieces. For personal use, however, I’d always go for something else because the sound quality of bone conduction simply isn’t as good as that of headphones, for example – and that’s an unfair comparison, of course. In short, they’re perfect for triathletes, but for personal or business use there are better alternatives.

Great device, just great that you can listen to music while swimming. I find the shokz very big, but if I clamp it between the straps of my swimming goggles it goes fine.
