Description
The Shimano XTR Trail M9120 disc brakes are suited for enduro, trail and all mountain ends. Shimano’s engineers redesigned the XTR 9120 brake handles similar to a braking system that was already the norm for mountain bikes. The Shimano XTR BR-M9120 brake caliper has a one piece aluminium build that results in significantly faster response time thanks to 4 pistons and less slack in the entire braking system. The metal braking pads N03A Resin or N04A Metal with cooling ridges combined with the 4 piston brake caliper guarantee extreme braking performance and a light weight.
Please note when purchasing this product: This product has been designed in accordance with Dutch standards. In the Netherlands it is customary to mount the front brake on the left and the rear brake on the right. This differs from the British standard, where the front brake is mounted on the right and the rear brake on the left.
The Shimano XTR Trail M9120 disc brakes use Shimano's Servo Wave Action. This technology means that the speed at which the pistons go in decreases as the pistons get closer to the disc. This keeps the quick bite point that Shimano brakes are known for, but greatly improves modulation.
Good heat dissipation
Thanks to good modulation, these Shimano XTR Trail M9120 Disc Brakes already build up a lot less heat. Thanks to the brake pads with cooling fins, the dissipation of accumulated heat is also much better. Combined with Shimano XTR MT-M900 disc brake rotors, the Shimano XTR Trail M9120 disc brakes dissipate the heat to the max!
Adjustment to suit your needs
The position of the brake lever on the Shimano XTR M9120 Disc Brakes is almost entirely adjustable. Thanks to I-Spec EV, you can adjust the position of the brake lever in relation to the shifter both horizontally and vertically. The distance between brake lever and handlebar can also be adjusted without tools, making this brake also suitable for mountain bikers with smaller hands.
If you switch to a different brand of disc brake or want to fit a different size of disc brake rotor, you will need a different adapter between frame and caliper.
These adapters can be found here.
