The Shimano SPD PD--A520 pedal is made for the tour cyclist who likes to go for an occasional walk as well. The A520 pedal uses the small SPD mountain bike cleats, which means you can use this pedal with mountain bike shoes or touring shoes. The surrounding cage design offers extra stability to the sole of your shoe and more evenly distributes pressure across the foot than a regular mountain bike pedal. Ideal then for long distance rides.
