Following the Dura Ace and Ultegra pedals, the new 105 5800 pedal are fitted with a carbon composite body. This extra-wide body with widely spaced bearings provide a maximum power transfer. Besides the body they mounted a steel plate for a longer lifespan.

It is possible to the adjust the spring tension, for easy or hard unclipping.
