Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- This saddle is very light and stiff, so you'll go even faster!
- Comfortable padding for proper support, even on long rides.
- This saddle doesn't have a cut-out, which means it's not suitable for cyclists who are prone to experiencing pressure points around their private area.
- This is a hard saddle, which means you'll have to ride for longer and more often to get used to it. It provides the best support for long rides. Do you cycle less than three times a week? You'll need a softer saddle that offers more comfort.

The rails and shell of this saddle are made of carbon. This build ensures a low weight and high rigidity, which means all energy you put into pedalling will be converted to speed! Plus, this carbon shell is equipped with a comfortable padding, which makes sure you'll get through long rides just fine. In short, if you want to ride quickly and comfortably, the Selle Italia SLR Boost Kit Carbonio is the perfect choice for you. This saddle is lightweight, stiff and comfortable, making it an ideal upgrade for your bike.
Saddle shape
This saddle has a semi-round back, making it highly suitable for people who rock their hips from side to side somewhat while cycling. It gives these people plenty of support, as well as plenty of freedom of movement when compared to a flat saddle.
Flexibility
This is an S-shape saddle, which means it's raised at the back and lowered in the middle. This S-shape allows people with an inflexible spine to take on an athletic cycling position. This has to do with pelvic tilt: someone with an inflexible spine has a harder time tilting their pelvis.

Took a gamble on it and it paid off
I tried other short nosed saddles (Fabric/Specialized/Bontrager) in various widths and could not get comfortable, (sit bone pain). I damaged my tail bone (coccyx) in a motorcycle crash 15 years ago and cannot sit in one position for too long (planes/cinemas) without a little discomfort and I also have posterior pelvic rotation. This saddle allows me to do long rides (200km) in an aggressive position. I rode 10,000km on it last year with no issues. Other saddles I have been comfortable on in the past are Fabric ALM Ultimate and Fizik Kurve Chameleon. Although I like this saddle very much I would like to try one of the new 3D printed ones (Specialized Mirror)
