The current best tubeless tyre for time trials

- Roy, 20 June, 2019

If you want to trim a few seconds off your personal best times then these tyres will do it tubeless. Super low rolling resistance. Just use double the amount of sealant in 2 parts as the first amount will seal the porous sidewalls. Holds pressure great after that.

Pros & Cons

Fast
Grippy
Expensive
Limited tread and life

Fastest time trial tyre

- Roy, 14 June, 2019

Bought these to use tubeless on my Walker Brothers TT wheels and they didn't disappoint. No punctures after 12 events, no nicks in the tread and PB's on every course I've ridden them on

Pros & Cons

Fast
Grippy
Light
Expensive
Need a lot of sealant as the sidewalls leak air
Short life as not much tread

Surprisingly durable

- Paul, 19 September, 2017

I reviewed these when I had only had a few rides but now I have done 1000 miles/1600 km. Mine is on the front and everyone knows that front tyres have a much easier life than rears. There are a few nicks in the tread but little signs of wear. I have had a few punctures which the tubeless sealant has taken care of without me needing to stop. I've had no problems with grip. It loses pressure more quickly than other tyres but not dramatically so. It is still impossible to remove/fit with your hands.

Pros & Cons

fast
light
wear well (on the front)
difficult to fit/remove
label starting to peel off
needs inflating more often
quite expensive

Seems great so far

- Paul, 25 May, 2017

First impressions when unboxing it were that the tread pattern is quite ugly as are the grey side walls. It has a very 'gummy' layer on the inside which presumably reduces punctures. It's light and has a high maximum pressure rating (if that's important to you) As others have noted, they're quite tricky to fit but I managed it in 2 or 3 mins with a pair of tyre levers. If you can't fit them, your technique is probably wrong. Out on the road, they feel super fast. I've only been using it for a couple of days but so far I definitely think that I'd buy them again.

Pros & Cons

High pressure rating
Light
Rides well
A little tricky to install
Not the best looking tyres

Could not get the tyre onto the rim

- Stephen, 3 April, 2017

I'm sure the actual tyre would have been good, but have tried for at least an hour, I could not get the tyre bead over the rim. I gave up in the end, with sore hands and a broken tyre lever. I've sent them back saying not fit for purpose.

Pros & Cons

Bead too small

Top quality race day tyre

- Gareth, 8 August, 2016

Having had Bontrager R3 tyres for the last 2 seasons I was recommend to try these as a TLR alternative on arrival they are packaged well and also very very light, fitting was hard although with any tubeless tyre is the normal, I chose to use Bontrager sealent as I have found this to be reliable.

Pros & Cons

Fast tyre
Good traction in all conditions
Light
Fragile only for race days

The holy grail

- Russel, 13 July, 2016

Very smooth rolling and durable. No Knicks or cuts after 500 miles. A little difficult to mount but to be expected with tubeless tyres.
