Versatile, great value for money
After several outings testing the Shimano PD-EH500, I think it's the perfect compromise for those who use their bike for everything. During the week, when you go to work in trainers, the flat side is just right. Unlike other models that slip as soon as it rains, the little metal studs grip the soles really well. So you feel totally safe, even in jeans and street shoes. At the weekend, it's time for more sporty outings. Just slip on your cycling shoes, turn the pedal and clip on. The system is super-flexible: you find the mark naturally and unclip effortlessly, which is a great reassurance when you have to stop in a hurry at a red light or on a gravel path. These pedals look robust, so you can feel confident with this product. In short, if you're looking for a unique pedal to ride to work during the week and enjoy at the weekend, go for it. It's a reliable investment that you won't regret. And given the value for money, why deprive yourself!

Attractive design and large contact area
I had auto pedals but on one side they were a pain to use over the long term, so I switched to this model, which is better suited to my needs and saves me time clicking.

Reliable and easy
Good experience with it. Reliable when pedalling, quick release when needed. Scratched a bit after a few rides but does not change the pleasant pedalling.

Great for starting with cleats
I’m happy I found them. Before using these pedals I had a few nasty falls in which I could not unclip fast enough. The fear took the fun out of riding. With these I’m confident again
