Shimano Ultegra & XT HG-701

The perfect chain to use with Shimano 105 (or even Ultegra). It has an excellent service life, and the quick-link supplied makes fitting it very easy; the quick-link is also very handy for removing the chain for a thorough clean of the bike and chain.

As I am used to from shimano I have been using chains from shimano for years

Bought as a replacement for my Shimano 105 chain. From the packaging immediately degreased well and lubricated with Squirt Chain Lube after fitting. Chain stays nice and clean and seems to rust less than the 105 chain. Just run the garden hose (no high pressure) after every ride, dry with an old towel and lubricate a bit.

Works exactly as expected, nothing bad to say. Had no issue cutting the chain and using the quicklink. I actually cut my chain too short but was able to add a few links back to get the desired chain length. One of the links was a bit stiff at first but with some tricks and a bit of lube, that quickly went away. Very satisfied.

I prefer to use an ultegra chain because it's cheaper than the dura ace and I change it more often to keep the same sprocket set (on average 3 chains on 1 cassette).
