Great tyres

- Jeremy, 16 March, 2017

Love these tyres

Pros & Cons

Light

4 / 5

Great but run 10-15 PSI lower than you think.

- Bruce, 5 March, 2017

Great tyres but do not over inflate; I am 90+kg and 90 PSI is too hard to keep traction in the wet.

Pros & Cons

Easy fitting
Rolls well
No indication on best pressure to use.

5 / 5

Best tyres by far!

- Richard, 20 January, 2017

Easy to install, inflate and no bead leaks. They are fast rolling and very good at dampening out road imperfections.

Pros & Cons

Easy to inflate
Easy to install
Fast rolling
Makes rough roads bearable
No bead leaks

Nice ride quality

- Michael, 17 January, 2017

Very easy to fit. The ride quality is so much more comfortable than using tubes due to being able to run lower pressures. Will not go back Fully recommend these tubeless tyres.

Pros & Cons

Comfort
Ease of fitting
Roll a lot quicker

4 / 5

Easy to fit

- NIGEL, 16 January, 2017

A new convert to tubeless, these tyres were easy to fit and look well made, sealed to the rim with little fuss, roll well and are quick, would recommend. Only gave them 8 because I have not had them on the bike long enough to offer a definitive rating.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit

Best tubeless tire in the market!!!

- Azmi, 18 December, 2016

I earlier bought the 25 size from Mantel and decided to buy a pair of 28. The tires are just as good and my bike rolls really fast even at just 70 psi. Much like the 25 size, the grip is good and the tires have really low wear rate (even though I earlier thought that it wont last long). Simply the best 700c tubeless tire that you can find in the market. Highly recommended for other to buy and benefit from tubeless setup.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable ride
Easy to fit to the wheel
Good grip
Light
Low rolling resistance

5 / 5

A fast, durable, lightweight tyre!

- Paul, 2 December, 2016

I have been using these tyres, tubeless, for about a year. They give an excellent ride quality. The one on the back of my bike has done 1500 miles / 2400 km and still has a bit of life left in it. That's pretty good for a light weight tyre I'm my opinion! I've had a few punctures which have sealed before the tyre was completely flat. I've found Orangeseal to be a much more effective sealant than Stans or Schwalbe (which is Stans in a Schwalbe bottle).

Pros & Cons

Comfortable
Durable
Light
Quite difficult to install on my Zipp wheels

5 / 5

The best tire on the market.

- Shane, 27 November, 2016

It's the best tire there is. That simple. Tubeless, so it's nearly puncture proof. Easier to put on than any other tubeless tire I've used. Brilliant grip in wet or dry, and amazingly low rolling resistance. Not the most durable, but it's not meant to be, is it? If you wanted a durable tire you'd sacrifice cornering and rolling resistance. If you want the tire to perform, you want this tire.

Best clincher road tyre around

- Simon, 29 October, 2016

Whats not to like? Aside from the being harder to fit than std clincher these win hands down vs the opposition. Only punctures caused by broken glass slash though sidewall, have had several self sealed after a quick spray of Stans - no more pinch flats! Good discounted prices. To fit use plenty of soapy lube on rim and ideally a CO2 cartridge. Will work with a track pump eventually. I found the wet weather grip much better than prev. ver. schwalbe one.

Pros & Cons

Good wear resistance
Lightweight
Low rolling resistance
Virtually puncture free
Wet grip
Fitting requires patience
high RRP
Tight bead required on roadtubeless

Excellent tyre

- Kevin, 9 October, 2016

Not easy to put on, locking one side on by first using an inner tube an removing it worked a treat.

5 / 5

Excellent service, goods arrived much quicker than expected.

- Chris, 27 September, 2016

Ordered a pair of Schwalbe tyres with free shipping. The goods arrived to my door in the UK much quicker than expected. Very happy customer and will definitely order from Mantel again without hesitation. Thanks guys.

Super grippy fast rolling tyre that compliments any wheel-set on the road

- Sean, 20 September, 2016

Having used Schwalbe Ultremo ZX on my Colnago C59 with great results, I am delighted by these Schwalbe Pro One's. Light, fast, grippy & durable are the assets that I value in a road tyre and these tyres really deliver over and above.

- Jim, 21 August, 2016

No more difficult to fit than a standard clincher

4 / 5

Fast and light

- Seng, 21 August, 2016

A fast and light tubeless tyre. Durability can be an issue depending on the sort of surface one rides on but 500km in France and similar in UK roads - rear has a cut which sealed (did the Bonnette despite it) and front tyre still fine. Definitely a summer tyre

Pros & Cons

Fast
Light
Durability not as good as Schwalbe Ones

5 / 5

Light and grippy

An excellent lightweight tubeless tyre. So much better than previous tubeless tyres previously on the market.

Pros & Cons

grippy

Pros & Cons

Best tubeless tyres

- Edward, 1 August, 2016

Easier to fit than a lot of clinchers. I didn't even need gas to get a good seal - just soapy water and a floor pump. The grip is fantastic, even in the wet and they roll very smoothly. The tyre will cut-up, but no more or less than other race clinchers. The advantage of tubeless is that cuts or nicks that would puncture a normal clincher are sealed (you need sealant!) fairly instantly without any noticeable loss of performance.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit
Grip
Low rolling resistance
Performance in the wet
Ride at lower pressure
Prone to cuts

Great tyres - not sure will be going back to inner tubes anymore. Thanks Schwalbe

4 / 5

Great tyres but hard to get on

- Steven, 4 June, 2016

4 / 5

Easier than the originals

- Adrian, 31 May, 2016

Easier than the original tubeless Schmaltz One's to get on but still not great, you will certainly need a set if leavers. Otherwise a great set of tires

Pros & Cons

Fast rolling
Good grip
Light
Expensive
Not that easy to get on
Soft compound so won't last long

3 / 5

difficult to fit

- Steve, 31 May, 2016

I had assorts of hassle getting these to seal because the bead was kinked. Sealant everywhere and had to use a hiflo compressor. Great tyre and feel on the road. So worth the hassle and sore hands.

5 / 5

easy fit great tyers

- Garethbream@uwclub.n, 31 May, 2016

this is my second set of pro ones ,for my second set of wheels ,have used them for 1000km excelent

4 / 5

Great once they're Great installed

- Paul, 23 May, 2016

They're not too difficult to mount on the wheels but I found it a real challenge to actually inflate them but this may be down to the tyre/rim combination. Once installed, they give a superb ride quality in my opinion but contrary to what you read, anything larger than a pin hole doesn't seal at any useful tyre pressure.

Pros & Cons

Light
Superb ride
Difficult to install
Not as puncture proof as you're led to believe
Not sure about the longevity

4 / 5

No compromise tubeless

- Malcolm, 17 May, 2016

Where as in the past there was a compromise when choosing tubeless tyres, these are so good that they are every bit as good as top normal clinchers, plus with the bonus of being tubeless. Only drawback is somewhat high cost and that the tyres are quite soft and wear more quickly than some others (but probably no worse than other tyres of similar performance).

4 / 5

A great tyre but tough to get on initially

- Robert, 12 May, 2016

Harder to get on the rims that hutcheson Atoms tubeless (not as tough as Gaterskin continentals though). They look like much better quality and so far after a few rides seem fantastic. Let's hope they last longer than the 2000 mile Hutchinsons

Pros & Cons

High quality
Hard to get on and seal

4 / 5

Tubeless easy!

- Kevin, 5 May, 2016

Nice tyre. Very easy to install on my Shimano Ultra rims. Used a blast from a CO2 cartridge, added sealant, pumped to pressure, rode off. Easy.

Pros & Cons

easy tubeless install with CO2 cartridge
reasonable weight
no colour choices
pricey

5 / 5

Best clincher in the market

- Mark, 4 May, 2016

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit
Excellent performance
Tubeless
A bit expensive

5 / 5

Great Tyre

- Andy, 3 May, 2016

Caveat - unable to compare this to any other tubeless Road tyre (as this is my first one). Very easy to fit, in comparison to both a Mtb tubeless tyre and road clinchers I have used. Scrubbing in took around 60 miles, this included an extremely wet ride where the tyre felt surprisingly grippy. After this a very cushioned feel, I had to check the pressure quite often as I kept thinking it was loosing pressure; but it was not. Tyre now feels very quick and even more supple. Superb tyre.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit
Low rolling resistance
Supple tread
Availability
Doesn't include a valve core remover

Tubeless - the future is NOW!!!

- CHARLIE, 28 April, 2016

Great tyre, bit of a wrestle getting one one, the other was easy though, slightly different rims could have been the case. Again, a bit of a wrestle getting it to seal first time, but now its done, its done! super smooth running like running on air (literally) fast tyre with no more worries of punchers. i recommend them. only down side is they could wear quite quickly, so not the best tyre for your commuter.

4 / 5

Easy to setup tubeless and very fast to ride

Pros & Cons

Easy

5 / 5

Fast rollers, worth every penny

- Matthew, 26 April, 2016

These tyres are the best tubeless I have used so far and recommend them highly.

5 / 5

Beautiful Tyres

- Alan, 26 April, 2016

Despite horror stories I found the tyres no more difficult to put on than any other folding tyre. I did use soapy water as recommended to ease the process. It made may hands slippy so I respoted to slip broad plastice tyre leavers to finish off fitmet. Getting air in proved a buit more difficult. I have previously removed and re-fitted tubless tyres and these have been easy to inflate probably because the tyre shape had settled into the rim with use. For the new tyres I had to use compressd air which fortunately was available to me. The tyres ride and grip beautifully but with only around 70 miles ridden I cannotfully assess them but if they are better than my previous One types than they will be magnificant.

5 / 5

Fast tyres

- Kieran, 24 April, 2016

Fast tubeless tyres and have a good puncture resistance. Difficult to get on Pacenti SL23 rims though but that's the fault of the rim, not the tyre.

4 / 5

Great tyres, really difficult to fit

- Robert Hoeller, 31 March, 2016

Let me start with the positive side - these tyres are simply sublime. I never thought they would make such a huge difference to comfort, ride quality and the sensation of speed. They are truly wonderful to ride. The negative? Wow, fitting them was hard! I don't see how Schwalbe can print "tubeless easy" on the box and sleep at night. I spent two whole nights at home trying to get them onto my DT Swiss R23 Spline wheels - sweating and panting like a madman. I only managed to get one on, I had to pass the second one over to my bike shop who charged me £20 for the privilege. It's been an expensive experience, but overall I'm very happy with them. I'll never go back.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable
Fast
Smooth
Difficult to fit
Expensive

4 / 5

Good, but wouldn't say easy fit

- Alex, 30 March, 2016

Now I've got these fitted tubeless they are great, but they are very tight to fit - I broke 2 tyre levers getting them fitted.

Pros & Cons

Work well when fitted (I use sealant)
Very tight so tricky to fit

5 / 5

No longer afraid of tubeless tyres

- Martin, 21 March, 2016

It took a lot for me to change from clinchers to tubeless, but now I have taken the plunge I am very happy; tyres went on with very little persuasion and inflated first time with a track pump; they roll lovely too; very happy with them

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit; inflate and keep pressure well
none

4 / 5

Great to ride on

- Mark, 16 March, 2016

Great to ride on, and great to pump to a softish pressure. The last pair did wear out very quickly. Despite calling them easy to put on they are still Very Very hard to mount.

Pros & Cons

Great to ride on
No punctures so far
Hard to mount
Wore out quickly

5 / 5

Excellent tubeless road tyres 700c 23, just a bit pricey for early adoptors.

- Nick, 14 March, 2016

Delivery of these tyres from mantel.com was free and fast for a pair and as of this time the best price I could find online. Attempting to fit these tyres you soon realise that you can't use fingers and thumbs to get these suckers on, even with levers effort was needed. Once on the rim I added 50ml of stans through the valve (once the core was removed) and they beaded up fairly easily when inflated. You can't beat the feel of new tyres and the new Pro One's on the road felt as they should fast, grippy and quiet. Most of all though having that reassurance of tubeless technology on road bike is just the best, I have had a bit of bad luck lately with p???????? hence my purchase. Its early days but with 500 hundred odd miles ridden with these tyres on the same dirty roads I have nothing negative to say only positives. Bottom line, money well spent (so far).

Pros & Cons

fast and grippy
quiet
tubeless

5 / 5

Feels great on the road.

- Les, 29 February, 2016

Excellent tyre, easy to get on and keeps inflation well. Early days but very promising

Pros & Cons

Easy Fit
Keeps pressure
That's the way we roll dude

4 / 5

Good but hard to mount tubeless

- Mike, 21 February, 2016

Had real trouble mounting these to Giant/DT Swiss wheels, I used soapy water, washing up liquid on the bead, gas, had ten mounted with a tube at 120psi beforehand etc but still nearly impossible to mount tubeless. One wasn't so bad but the second took some seriously vigorous track pump efforts to seat. Depending on your wheels these may be for experienced tubeless users only.

Pros & Cons

Fast
Light
Hard to seal
Tight fit

5 / 5

Easy to fit, very quick and puncture proof

- Jonathan, 21 February, 2016

Upgraded from One tubeless on race wheels, and not been disappointed. So easy to fit, so don't be put off by the 'hassle factor'. Only 20g heavier than my race clincher tyres, so without the inner tube they're a stack lighter (even with 20mls of sealant to puncture proof them). Lack of an inner tube makes them roll sooo well (http://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/road-bike-reviews/schwalbe-pro-one-tubeless-2016), and I'm convinced that the low rolling resistance is even better than tyre/tube combos on dead British roads compared to test drums. Bottom line is, they are a very fast tyre, very easy to fit, and pretty much puncture proof with a dash of sealant. What more could you want.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit
Fast/very low rolling resistance
Puncture proof

5 / 5

Great tubeless offering.

- Russel, 21 February, 2016

Lighter, easy to seal and grip well but also roll quickly. I have these on all 3 sets of wheels I use.

Pros & Cons

Light
no tube required.

Best Schwab one yet, all the benefits of tubeless ,very easy to fit , rolls very well , good grip in dry or wet , simply the best.

Pros & Cons

5 / 5

Finally a perfect Road tubeless tyre.

- Douglas, 7 February, 2016

Superb improvement over original tubeless, feels much lighter without being fragile. Tough to get inflated initially but a bit of sealant made them go up easily.

Pros & Cons

Light, look good, feel great
A little tough to get inflated

5 / 5

Excellent ride once you've managed to fit them

- Paul, 5 February, 2016

They're not too difficult to fit to the rim but the problem I had was inflating them, even with an Airshot. I think that this is more down to the (Zipp) rims than the tyres as I managed to fit them to a Shimano wheel with no problem. I eventually overcame the problem by wrapping one layer of insulating tape round the well of the rim and the tyre inflated first time. The ride quality is superb. They immediately feel more 'zingy' than traditional Schwalbe Ones with inner tubes. I've only ridden about 70-100 miles (112-160 km) but no punctures so far.

Pros & Cons

Great ride
Light
Look good
Difficult to inflate

5 / 5

Best Road tyres

- John, 1 February, 2016

Fantastic tyres very fast and grippy

5 / 5

The way forward

- Simon, 1 February, 2016

Fitted these to DT Swiss R460 rims .No harder to fit than your average clincher . They would not inflate with a track pump but worked fine with C02 .Added sealant with the aid of medical syringe through valve .

Pros & Cons

high performance fast tyre
more simple than tyre plus tube
puncture protection
expensive in larger widths
initial expence of tubeless set up

5 / 5

So much better than tubes! !

- Michael, 1 February, 2016

Take the hassle out of puctures ... buy these. Go on easy, roll well and have good grip. Also you get a more comfortable ride cos you have less pressure in them .... win .win

Pros & Cons

Comfortable ride
Fit easily
Less chance of punctures

5 / 5

Light, best rolling resistance and easy fit

- Michael, 19 January, 2016

Fitted the 23mm tubeless tyres to Reynolds Assault/Strike carbon clinchers. They needed an extra layer of Stan's 21mm rim tape and I soaped the beads before installing them by hand with no tyre levers. Both inflated first time with a track pump. Absolutely brilliant, having had allsorts of trouble previously with Hutchinson Fusion 3 installs. Stan's and soap every time from now on.

Pros & Cons

best rolling resistance in tests
easy to fit by hand
light 240gms

5 / 5

Superb service. Fast delivery and quality products

- Nick, 13 January, 2016

Though I have not been using the tyres for long I can feel the quality. They feel faster and go on real easy especially with sealant.

5 / 5

Great tubeless set up for your road bike

- Matt, 11 January, 2016

Easy to set-up (although a little tight to get on the rim) and now I have a tubeless puncture resistant set-up that is lighter than my old tubes + tyres. Good grip too

Pros & Cons

Avoids punctures
Lightweight system
Can be tricky to inflate first time

5 / 5

Tight to fit

- Steve, 8 December, 2015

Tight to fit, but some soapy water and some elbow grease and the go on fine. Good tight fit on to my dtswiss Carbon wheels. Not used outdoors yet, but are OK on the rollers.

5 / 5

Goodbye to the clincher

- Brian, 3 December, 2015

I have been using the Schwalbe One tubeless for 20 months and only had one puncture. Now Schwalbe have released these. Superb grip wet or dry. Lower pressures than a clincher so more comfortable and better traction. Weight now coetitive with a top of the range clincher plus light weight tube, but these are almost puncture proof. Goodbye clinchers.

Pros & Cons

Puncture resistence
Summer tyres all year round
Weight
Must have a tubeless ready rim

4 / 5

Grippy, fast but not completely puncture proof.

- Marc, 2 December, 2015

Had a puncture after about 100 miles. Unlucky? - Maybe. Very difficult tyres to fit. If you need to get them off make sure you have very strong levers. Fast, light and grippy.
