Schwalbe is quality. Costs (a little) more, but I see that as an investment. One puncture and the pleasure of a "bargain" is quickly forgotten. Just buy the best, mount it and forget about it. Of course even a good tire wears out once, but much later than a lower quality tire. Mantel. Great selection, competitive price, fast delivery. Tip: try to save packing material. An outer tire does not need to be in a big cardboard box. Also lives the rest of its existence outside on my bike.

Have had the tire on the back on my bike for years never had a flat yet another new one in stock again on the back and now also on the front.Have them now also on my electric Flyer but wider.Are a bit stiffer but especially on electric bike you shouldn't go flat on the road.

Bought new e-bike 9 years ago with standard factory tires. At the first ride over the Drentse heath, immediately a flat tire. (Less than 200 km). I immediately had a Schwalbe Marathon Plus mounted at the dealer. Now almost 15000 km further, never had a flat tire. Today I had a new one mounted. It wasn't even really necessary yet, but because of a cycling vacation I decided to be on the safe side. Once a Marathon Plus, always a Marathon Plus.

Because of my frequent punctures, I chose this tire in size 622-47. The tire feels robust and sturdy. Certainly better than the average tire from the hardware store. It was a bit more work to mount it, it is very tight around the rim. I also had to tinker a bit to make the size 47 tire fit the fender. But that was a conscious choice. The tire rides a little heavier than the Schwalbe tire I had before, but on an electric bike you don't notice that much.

For more than 10 years I have been cycling exclusively with Schwalbe Marathon Plus anti-puncture tires. After tens of thousands of miles with these tires, I only had one puncture, a vicious pin penetrating all the way into the side of the tire.

I'm not listing any cons because I don't know of any so far. I am mainly satisfied because the tire fits so well on the rim. In previous experiences with other tires, the tire went on and off so easily that I always feared the tire would be pushed off by the inner tube. This will definitely not be the case with this tire.

This is an excellent tire. I cycle many miles a year and almost never find myself with a flat tire. Only when the blue layer is visible does the tire go flat if you ride on something sharp.

I have only had this anti-puncture tire for a few weeks and have already cycled quite a bit with it. It rides smoothly. I bought this tire mainly because of the good reviews on the internet. Because my rear tire needed replacing, I deliberately chose this one. This is because replacing the rear tire is more work than replacing the front tire. The anti-puncture properties are then more important to me than with a front tire. But of course that is a personal consideration.

I chose this tire based on positive experiences on the Internet and the first impression is good. Experience will tell if the expectations are met. (including inner tube from Schwalbe) No problem to mount the tires as long as you do it according to the rules. My experience with mantle are above expectations, super fast delivery.

I only buy Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires anymore. Then I almost never have a flat tire. Mounting a bicycle tire and sticking a tire is not a hobby of mine, and with this tire I (almost) never have to do it. The tire is worth every penny.

After almost 100km I can pass judgment on this outer tire. Very sturdy but also slightly heavier than normal outer tire. Good rolling properties on normal and slippery roads. On the latter also very good grip. The tread is quite supple which greatly benefits the puncture resistance but has the disadvantage that the tire finds its way a bit in the longitudinal grooves on worse roads and cobblestone joints. This gives a strange feeling, as if you are in danger of sliding away when you are not. Therefore 4 instead of 5 stars. Highly recommended. A bit more difficult to fit around your rim though.

Once a year I have my electric bike double twist fixed and is good again as expected. Mechanics come across as honest,and do what they can. Because the bike is actually 4 years old again, it is not possible to buy a new pannier with it..aar that is not so bad then.

First, this review is based mostly on bicycle tour and everyday riding. That is what I use my bicycle for. I do not have a car and I don't really like to use public transportation. I only get around by bike. This is the third time I've these tires. I love them. They are built very well, almost puncture proof and the tread is made so water will go off to the side. My last pair were 28 x 1.5, but these are 28 x 1.4. Personally, I like the 1.5 better. It's nice to have a wider tire - more comfortable, more control, and less of a chance of a puncture. But I will add that I am not upset with the purchase. Due to how sturdy these are, and the tread pattern, and the puncture protection, I do recommend them

Bought these tires for my cross-hybrid, as replacements for CST Allround which I have punctured 2x in 3,000 km this season. I think too often. I use the cross-hybrid in addition to my road bike. 1. Purchase process: tight, as always at Mantel. Ordered Friday night, delivered Saturday around noon. And with a BlackFriday deal good value. 2. Fitting: didn't disappoint me, the tires are reasonably smooth. Tip: make sure they are nice and warm, so put them near the heater or in the sun for a few hours. 3. Ride: comfortable, despite 5 bar front and 5.5 bar rear. Quiet. No more seams between paving stones. Good grip, even in turns where it is wet.

Sturdy tire with hefty tread protection but the future will tell how puncture-proof it is

The schwalbe looks like a solid tire that will last for years again. Mounting the inner and outer tire was easy. Rear wheel was a bit more work but on the Gazelle Orange no problem. Even without a drammounting device. Brake and gear cable did not have to be disassembled. Just re-tension the chain. But that is necessary from time to time.

The tire searches very much in along grooves in stone pavement, even laid tight, the tire searches the grooves making you feel like the bike is sliding sideways.

I am now riding Gazelle Balance E bike for 5 years and 45,000 km with the same front tire (S.M.), no punctures and normal wear profile, despite the extra many revolutions, while the rear tire, a Schwalbe Marathon PLUS, has now lasted 10,000 km this year. Previously the S.M. lasted 4 to 5,000 km, but always a strange wear profile. Both sides worn out, but the tread almost not. In total I had 2 punctures.
