Comfortable shoe with great traction on flat pedals
I first rode a pair of Jordan 1s on flat pedals. Replaced this pair with these Fox Unions. I ride these shoes on the OneUp Flat pedals. Whereas with my Jordans my feet shifted at times with jumps or drops, with this combination my foot goes nowhere and it feels like I'm glued to my pedals. I have even better traction and more confidence with drops and jumps that I won't lose the pedals due to shifting of my feet. At first I was also thinking about the Canvas version given that comfort would be higher there. For me, the Union Flats are comfortable enough to keep on even after cycling if you want to have a casual drink.

These shoes are perfect for almost any discipline of mountain biking.
These shoes are perfect for the mountain biker who likes to do tricks while also taking part in some downhill and enduro races. The shoe has good grip on the technical parts due to the soft rubber on the sole. But you can still just do one footers, nac-nacs and any other trick where you take your feet off the pedals. Also, after a long day of cycling in muddy conditions, the shoes are very easy to clean. The only real downside are the somewhat short laces but that's no reason not to buy the shoe, also the shoes are not very nice to walk in but that doesn't really matter as these shoes are made for cycling. In short, if you are serious about mountain biking and are looking for a good flat pedal shoe, buy the fox union flat shoes!
