Highly recommended for Magura brakes

With the help of a Magura YouTube video, it was easy to bleed the brakes.

Incomplete and awkward
I’m missing a small block that can be placed inside the brake caliper whilst bleeding the brakes. Fortunately, I still had one lying around from Shimano that’s compatible. Shimano also uses a collection tray that you screw onto the brake caliper to catch the old fluid. MAGURA uses a small tube and a syringe (you remove the plunger from the syringe); this works fine until you’ve pushed all the fluid through the line and the tube bends under the weight of the fluid. At that point, you’ll need a second person to prevent any spillage. You can get the job done with this method, but in terms of value for money, it’s no match for Shimano.

Good for bleeding and topping up, if you know how to do it
With this set, you can top up and bleed the brakes. You might be able to service two brakes at once when changing the brake fluid. Extra tips (as well as YouTube): - Unscrew the adjusting screw on the brake lever fully - Place the syringe (without the plunger) with the hose (without the screw) onto the opening of the brake lever - Screw the other syringe with the other hose onto the brake - After bleeding, replace the screw on the brake lever - then, before removing the lower syringe, apply a little more pressure to the plunger; this allowed me to get just a bit more fluid into the brake line, so I didn’t have to turn the adjusting screw all the way back straight away. Now I can still adjust the brakes for the time being.
