The Fizik Antares Adaptive VS R1 saddles are Fizik's absolute best model. The Fizik Antares ADAPTIVE VS R1 saddle has a unique look. This is partly due to the carbon Digital Light Synthesis 3D printing technology which allows the saddle to achieve the ultimate mix in comfort, weight and stiffness. The Fizik Antares ADAPTIVE VS R1 saddle is lightweight at 180g but offers more comfort than saddles of similar weight.
Form saddle
The Fizik Antares R3 vs EVO has a composite, carbon fibre reinforced shell. The 'Wing Flex' technology allows for a high degree of flexibility without compromising the saddle's performance orientation. This saddle has a semi-circular back, which makes it very suitable for people who move their hips slightly while cycling. Because this is a semi-round saddle, it gives those people enough support and at the same time enough freedom of movement compared to a flat saddle.
Flexibility
This is a semi-flat saddle, meaning the saddle is flat at the front and rises a bit towards the back. The shape of this saddle makes it suitable for people with average spinal flexibility. This has to do with pelvic tilt: sitting up straight you need support to tilt the pelvis, but not in a hunched-over position.
Cutout
The Fizik Antares R3 versus EVO features a cutout, which shifts the pressure on the saddle from the perineum to your sit bones and the outside of your posterior. This provides some pressure relief for people who are quick to experience a sore posterior.
