Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The Favero Assioma UNO provides reliable power measurements.
- This power meter is compatible with any type of chainring.
- This power meter is easy to swap between bikes.
- This power meter is relatively lightweight.
- A single-sided power meter is less accurate than a double-sided power meter.
- Some cranks require a spacer to be placed between the pedal and crank arm. This increases the Q-factor.
Reliable one-sided measurements
The Favero Assioma UNO power meter pedals measure the exact rotating speed while pedalling. This speed changes as you pedal and slows slightlt down as you move towards the vertical position, i.e. with the pedal up. Many other power meters record this speed as a constant, which is based on round chainrings. These other power meters cannot be used with oval chainrings. As the Favero Assioma UNO power meter pedals measure exactly how fast you rotate, it doesn't matter what sort of chainring you have. The Favero Assioma UNO power meter pedals can therefore also be used with oval chainrings.
These pedals measure your power output on one side. The total power output is calculated simply by doubling the single-sided measurement value. Usually this is not a problem, as most cyclists have little difference between their left and right legs. An additional advantage of the single-sided measurement is that you get a good power meter for a competitive price. And if you want to switch to a double-sided power meter later on, the power meter pedal for the right side is available separately!
The Favero Assioma UNO power meter pedals measure the rotation speed using their built-in gyroscope. The technology used for this is called Favero IAV, or Instantaneous Angular Velocity. Thanks to this technology, the total power output, the left-right ratio and the effective pedal stroke can be determined very precisely when using these pedals. Doesn't this make the Favero Assioma UNO power meter pedals the perfect device for your workouts?!
Easy to mount
These Favero Assioma UNO power meter pedals are very easy to mount. With the included pedal wrench you can tighten the pedal or loosen it for use on a different bike, for example.
Waterproof, reliable and replaceable
These power meter pedals have a water resistance rating of IP67, which means that they can withstand extreme weather conditions. The parts are very sturdy, and there are inserts in the areas where your cleats rub the pedal. If a part should break, know that all parts of these pedals are replaceable and available separately. So, if you buy the Favero Assioma UNO, you'll have a power meter that will last for many years!

Perfect so far
Kept seeing these mentioned as great on YouTube and Mantel as the place to get them. They arrived quicker than promised and were really easy to put on and get working, they do just what I wanted. Went with the Uno as I am just looking for them to help me pace some big 5x and 10x iron distance rides.
Easy to install
They will change the way you ride!
If you’re thinking about it, do it!!!!! buy these pedals the data comes in immediately and you can see where and when to put the power down. First time using Mantel will definitely use again.
Easy installation, great accuraracy and rechargable
Affordability, accuracy and ease of change between bikes were my key considerations when choosing these power meter pedals, and so far they deliver brilliantly on all 3 counts. Installation is as simple as installing the pedals, down loading the app to specify crank length, and doing a zero calibration on your watch/headset. Agreement is incredibly close to what I get from my smart trainer using Zwift, and switching them to another bike is simple. Battery life is great and I got over 40 hours of cycling without the pedals needing a recharge. Charging with the magnetic clip is easy and there are no faffy clips or plugs to worry about breaking. My only grumble is a minor one, and that is that you have to install the Look Keo cleats on bike shoes and it took a while for me to find the correct position for the cleats. A set of these come in the box with the pedals, but you might want to invest in a set with grips on the cleats so they are less slippy when walking in them.
