The Sram XX1 Eagle XG-1299 12-speed cassette is light, extra stiff and looks fantastic. The first 11 sprockets of this cassette are milled out of one piece of steel and an extra aluminium blade is placed behind them. This construction ensures low weight and high rigidity, turning every pedal stroke into speed. The grinding of the sprockets has been done with great precision, which makes for extra fast and smooth shifting.
Different gear ratios
You can choose between a 10/50 and a 10/52 cassette. The advantage of the 10/50 cassette is that the gap between the sprockets is smaller, so you can keep a better cadence. The advantage of the 10/52 is that you can pedal very lightly, even if you have to climb up to 20% during a bikepacking trip!
Compatible with SRAM XD body
This 12-speed cassette fits the existing XD driver. This means the distance between the sprockets is reduced and therefore the chain is also narrower. X-Glide 2 is the latest generation of the SRAM X-Glide technology, optimized for the Eagle 12-speed cassette. It delivers fast and precise shifting performance under load throughout the entire gear range and increases the grip of the chain on the larger sprockets.
• Cassette: XG-1299 12-speed 10-50 (357 grams)*
* Weighed by Mantel

SRAM XD(R) body
This cassette is only compatible with an XD(R) body. With this type of body the cassette is a single piece. You slide the cassette over the body and then you can tighten the lockring. When installing an MTB XD cassette on an XDR body, a 1.85 mm spacer should be placed in between.
Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be tightened up, in most cases up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend you to apply a little bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.

How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your material lasts longer and that you can enjoy your cycling for longer. How often you need to clean depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:
October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

Quality has its price.

The best of the best in cassettes. Durable, functional and also beautiful. But that comes at a price. With proper maintenance, the difference with cheaper B-stuff can be made a lot smaller, but it hurts every time it has to be replaced. In combination with the XX1 chain unbeatable.
