The Shimano G05A-RX Resin brake pads are the successor to the existing G03A brake pads. These brake pads have even better braking power and controllability than its predecessor, so perform even better. The aluminium backplate is instrumental in cooling the brake pads and prevents extra noise when braking.

These organic brake pads consist of soft materials. As a result, these brake pads give excellent controllability and braking power. Due to the soft compound, this pad also grips quickly. In addition, the organic compound ensures that these brake pads make little noise while driving. The disadvantage of organic brake pads is that they are less able to withstand higher temperatures that can occur during long descents, for example. This has already been improved somewhat with these brake pads due to the aluminium backplate, but is still not as good as with brake pads with cooling fins or a (semi-)metallic compound. In addition, organic brake pads wear harder if you ride a lot in muddy conditions.
