The popular Schwalbe Nobby Nic Performance is in a class of its own.The variation in distance between knobs ensures handling and grip are both top notch, while also reducing rolling noise and resistance. The central knobs have no specific directionality. The tyre on your rear wheel is mounted in the same direction as your front wheel. This is so the U-blocks on both tyres can work against the g-forces and resistance of a corner. The rubber on the tread runs further to the side wall of the tyre, so the vulnerable shoulder is better protected against cuts. Larger knobs ensure a prolonged lifespan.
