Pros & Cons

Great
This product is not yet in use. I know this product well. Therefore, I assume the product will meet my expectation.
Pros & Cons

Reliable and secure.
Very secure fit to pedals, easy to unclip when you get used to them. They last longer if you're careful and you should wait until the bike has stopped before unclipping. Also try not to walk on rough surfaces and you should get at least 6 months use from them.

Pros & Cons

Great quality and does what it needs to do
Product matches expectations. Easy to assemble and lasts a long time.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Fine click system, with just the right amount of clearance.
Fine click system, sits really tight, but still clicks easily. 6° clearance gives nice feeling of control, without "locking" feet. Took some YouTube to get the adjustment right, though.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Necessary spare part in distinctive Shimano quality
The blue version is the best of both worlds: your foot sits tight enough so that you can click out with a smaller twist but still offers enough slack to dilate knee pain.
Pros & Cons

Easy, quick and cheap
The big advantage of ordering these cleats from Mantel is fast delivery. They are also always correctly priced. Once you receive them, it is very easy to install the cleats.

Good cleat from recreational to competitive rider!
After two years, the plates had to be replaced, the plastic underneath was starting to come through. Holds up fine after tens of thousands of kilometres! Most people around me also ride on yellow SPD-SL plates, including those who race.

Top product, wonder how long it will last
Exactly what you would expect from cleats. My bike already had Shimano pedals, so most logical choice was to buy matching cleats with it.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fine and reliable
Previous ones lasted 7 years, they continue to do well over their lifetime. I switched from red (0°) to the blue (2°), the little extra bit of slack is really nice anyway.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Good and easy installation and 2 degrees of movement.
I have been using these Shimano SPD-SL for quite a while now and I like them. Only downside is that they wear out quite quickly when walking so take that into consideration when you buy them. You can buy rubber shoes for that so you won't be bothered so much.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Very good product
Perfect for replacing worn cleats. This is the Shimano model that will suit the vast majority of users, providing good quality cleats and a degree of angular freedom when pedalling.
5 / 5
Fine pictures, doing what they need to do
They are fine, and should they wear out, an extra set on spare is never a bad idea.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Quality product that lasts
I have been using Shimano's yellow cleats for many years. The (slight) play to the left and right when you pedal around prevents injuries to knees.

Been using these cleats for decades. Always easy fitting. And use without knee complaints due to the slight clearance.

A nice large support. Does wear out quickly.
In combination with Ultegra pedals, my experience is that they slip quickly over the pedal. Sometimes it looks like you're locked in, but you're not. Fine is the substantial bearing surface between pedal and cleat. Don't walk on them too much, as they wear out super fast. Fortunately, the plates are not too expensive. I experience the clearance as just right.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Good quality
I hardly notice the difference with the yellow plates. Now have the blue ones (2 degrees clearance) and they are fine. Do buy new ones every 8 months. With worn plates, your foot can come loose.

Pros & Cons

I recommend this product!
I like Shimano SPD SL, because I have a little bit space on the pedals to adjust my feet more comfortably during cycling.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Best value for money
Blue cleats give just enough clearance to avoid knee pain and ensure good power transmission. Much more stable than the yellow ones where I always feel like my pedal is coming loose. Much more wear-resistant than Look cleats and stepping is also smooth, especially in combination with the Shimano cleat covers.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great product!
The Shimano SPD-SL cleats not only offer great grip and stability, but they have greatly increased my confidence on the bike. Thanks to their durability and performance, I feel powerful and connected to my bike every ride.
Pros & Cons

Easy to attach Shimano click parts
The Shimano SPD-SL are easy to attach to your click shoes. You can adjust them to your liking. Just starting out with click shoes? Then adjust them a bit looser so that engaging and disengaging them on the bike is easy. Do you want a tighter fit and already have experience with click shoes? Then you attach them a bit tighter. You can do this as you wish, which is ideal! A must-have for cyclists!

Reliable cleats.
Easy to fit, clicking in and out is smooth. Use a torque wrench to fit them, 4nm is about right. With care you should get about a year of use.

Purchased together with the shoes, fine
Fitted the plates myself, feet nice and straight forward, bit of play left right, feeling of good control with the Lake cc 218 shoes. Another stop at Mantel to check the plates with a torque wrench.
