Before applying, degrease, clean and dry the chain.

How often should I lube my chain? Regular lubrication ensures that your equipment lasts longer, so that you can enjoy your bike rides longer. How often you should lubricate heavily depends on the weather conditions in which you cycle. Do you cycle in all weather conditions or only when the sun shines? It all affects the degree of wear, and some will have to clean their bike more than others. In principle, a chain should run silently, so if your chain makes a noise it is time to clean and lubricate it.

1 bottle of Muc-Off Bio Dry Lube

First-time application:
1. Thoroughly degrease your drivetrain with a chain cleaner and rinse thoroughly
2. Dry the parts well with a cloth
3. Apply the Lube to all the links on the inside of the entire chain
4. Allow the Lube to penetrate well; at least half an hour, but preferably longer
5. Wipe off excess Lube with a cloth, especially the outside of the chain because that is where the most dirt adheres while lubrication is not necessary
6. Ride on!

For later applications, wipe the chain with a dry cloth or brush and then apply the lubricant to each chain link again.

When should I use wet lube and when should I use dry lube?
Wet lube is thick, and will not wash off your chain in a rain shower, but it will gather more dirt. Dry lube is often thinner and therefore needs to be applied more frequently. Want to switch between these two? Don't forget to degrease your chain first.

When and how often should I lubricate my chain?
This is a hard question, because the answer depends on how often you ride and what kind of lubricant you use. It's best to regularly check if your chain is dry. You can see and hear this. Another sign that you should lubricate your chain is a very dirty chain, for example because you cycled through the rain. In this case, make sure you clean your chain before lubricating it again. After a while you'll get a feeling for when you should lubricate your chain.
