The Maxim Energy Bar is a powerful source of energy which comes in 8 different flavours for you to pick your favourite! The Maxim Energy Bar is a cereal bar (wheat and oats) with rice crisps, fruit and/or nuts. It has a high carbohydrate content (70%), a low protein content and added minerals.

The mix of carbohydrate sources provides a gradual and constant energy supply. As carbohydrates are the most important energy source for endurance athletes, it is important to replenish your carbohydrates before and during exercise. The high carbohydrate level makes the Maxim Energy Bars very suited for consumption prior to or during exercise.

Scientific studies show that a low protein intake during exercise contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass. The low protein content of the Maxim Energy Bars does exactly that without affecting the energy intake. The added minerals support the fluid intake and balance.

The low fat content makes the Maxim Energy Bars also suitable as an energy-rich snack. Recommended use: Take an energy bar 30-45 minutes before a race or workout to bring your energy reserves to 100% and to have a maximum level of energy when you begin. Remember to keep replenishing your energy during the race or workout. Energy bars are a great alternative to candy bars because they have a lower fat and higher carbohydrate content.
