Campagnolo Ekar GT Groupset

The Campagnolo Ekar GT 13-speed groupset gets its name and inspiration from the climb on Mont Ekar. On Mont Ekar, the asphalt gives way to dirt trails and tracks, and climbing and descending are different in every seasons, and ride by ride. To be perfect for gravel riding, where you alternate between asphalt and dirt roads, the Campagnolo Ekar GT groupset is derived from the racing groupsets but has a slightly more robust finish and offers more comfort.

The Campagnolo Ekar GT 1x13 groupset gives you a combination of a 1x chainring with a 10-48T wide range cassette. And two chainring options: 40 and 42. Thus, with the Ekar GT groupset, Campagnolo provides sprocket combinations for gravel riders at every level. Ekar GT rear derailleur
The design of the Ekar GT rear derailleur is made specifically for gravel. The 1 x 13 speed drivetrain has a full range of gears with short, evenly spaced steps based on different pedalling frequencies. At the foundation of this is the strong, light and efficient rear derailleur. It has a clutch system, for higher cage tension, to prevent the chain from falling off the front chainring due to shocks or blows during off-road biking. The combination of more than 70 parts made of full carbon, carbon reinforced with polyamide, and anodised aluminium with stainless steel bolts, exceeds all expectations in every circumstance.

Campagnolo Ekar GT cassette
The Campagnolo Ekar GT cassette, consisting of 13 sprockets, makes the idea of a single front chainring much more logical. The gear range has been moved to the rear, making the front less vulnerable to dirt or vibration. The new cassettes consist of two parts to combine steel strength with weight saving. The cassette is mounted onto the new N3W freehub body, which is used in wheelsets such as the new Shamal Carbon wheelset.

Campagnolo Ekar GT crankset
The Campagnolo Ekar GT single-ring crankset is a crucial element in the new gravel groupset. The alloy crankset is lightweight, simple and provides great security. Because the setup does not include a front derailleur, there are no superfluous parts that are vulnerable to dirt during off-road riding. 1x is the way to go!

The crankset has a steel/aluminium axle with a polyamide carbon spider and UD carbon crank arms. Its available crank length is 172.5 mm, and chainring options are 40T and 42T. The crank bearings and the bottom bracket have also been updated; they use ProTech technology with an additional seal that keeps moisture and dirt out.

Campagnolo Ekar GT Ergopower shifters
The Campagnolo Ekar GT Ergopower shifters are based on current Campagnolo technology but have been adjusted for more durability and comfort. Their shape and modified rubbers are responsible for the increased comfort. The position of the brake and shift levers can be easily customised. The optimised thumb switch makes the gears easy to operate from the drops. Thanks to the Ultra-Shift system, it is possible to shift up to three sprockets at a time and to shift down one gear at a time.

Campagnolo Ekar GT chain
The Ekar GT chain is a key component in the groupset. The Campagnolo C13 chain with Nickel-Teflon coating is specifically designed to work perfectly with the 13-speed cassettes and chainrings. Despite being Campagnolo's narrowest chain ever, no compromises have been made in terms of strength and reliability. The new Ekar GT chain is available in two options: with a classic chain pin or with a C-Link.

Campagnolo Ekar GT braking system
The Ekar GT braking system is derived from Campagnolo's hydraulic disc brakes, which have been further optimised for gravel and off-road use.
