Ruedas Gravel Elitewheels Drive G36

The Elitewheels Drive G36 gravel wheels with steel spokes are very lightweight carbon option within the brand's gravel range; they have an impressive total weight of 1325 grams. The rim has a new carbon layup, which has enabled Elitewheels to produce a rim that is lighter despite its 36 mm height and 25 mm inner and 31 mm outer widths. This makes for a stiff wheelset with direct handling and braking, ideal for hilly or twisty courses. The hubs are double sealed to keep out water and dirt. As the Elitewheels wheels are UCI approved, they can be used in races.

Carbon rims
Elitewheels has been able to create a wider yet lighter rim thanks to a new carbon layup. With its high inner width, the rim can be used with wide road bike tyres from 30 mm up to wide gravel tyres of 50 mm. Thus, the Drive G36 is a very versatile wheelset that is suitable for gravel bikes and certainly feels very much at home in road bikes too. The rim has slightly smaller hooks to allow you to enjoy the security of a hooked rim with almost all the benefits of a hookless rim.

Kinetic ratchet hub
Elitewheels' new kinetic ratchet hub is an improvement in several ways. The rear hub uses a conical 50-tooth ratchet ring for an extremely low engagement of 7.2 degrees and a larger contact area. A stronger spring minimises chances of skipping or slipping, and an improved waterproof seal increases ingress protection. As we have come to expect from Elitewheels, the hubs are machined to tolerances of 0.02 millimetres, ensuring that the ceramic bearings fall perfectly into the hubs for reduced resistance and improved durability.

Durability
This gravel wheelset has flawlessly passed the 20,000 km durability test on rough surfaces that simulates gravel riding conditions. This far exceeds test standards.
