The DT Swiss C1800 Spile Disc wheels are suitable for novice cyclo-cross and gravel riders. With an internal rim width of 22 mm, 33 mm cyclocross tyres will fit them perfectly. Tyres ranging from 30 mm to 62 mm are compatible with these rims. That means these rims can handle the most technical descents and cyclocross courses.
Even so, you can also head onto various gravel paths with these DT Swiss C1800 DB wheels. The C1800 Spline 23 Disc wheels are equipped with DT Swiss's sturdiest spokes: the DT Aero Comp Wide Straightpull spokes. These spokes are kept perfectly in place by DT ProLock Squorx ProHead locking spoke nipples. The DT Swiss 370 precision hubs with wide rims and strong spokes guarantee years of problem-free cycling.
Pro Lock Technology
Pro Lock is a process during which 2-component liquid glue is injected into the nipple thread, resulting in extremely strong wheel constructions. Screwing the nipple onto the spoke activates the glue, after which it begins to harden. The wheel can still be adjusted after the glue has hardened, with only a minimum reduction of the lock function. This means your wheels will retain their spoke tension for a longer time. The durability and the right spoke tension will last for up to twenty times longer compared to wheels without Pro Lock nipples.
Tubeless ready
These wheels come with a tubeless ready rim, which enables you to ride with tubeless tyres and latex sealant. This setup minimises flats. In case you puncture a tyre, the latex will seal the hole within a few seconds. Other advantages of riding tubeless include a low rolling resistance, more comfort and an increased grip. Of course it's also still possible to ride with your familiar clincher tyres and tubes.
