Pros & Cons

Fast tire that wears out quickly
Does not last long enough (significantly less long than the 4000S II).
Pros & Cons
2 / 5
Not everything used to be better but the GP 4000 certainly was
Ridden the 4000 for years. This is a steep drop in durability compared to that.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Top tire, assembly is a struggle
It takes blood, sweat and tears to get the tires on (with 2 people), but once they are on it is a fine tire.
Pros & Cons

Absolute top band
After switching to Vittoria for a while because there was no skin-wall version of the GP5000 yet, I am very happy to put these tires with skin-wall again.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
One of the best tyres out there
Nice balance between low rolling resistance and grip in most conditions. Too early to judge puncture protection. The gum wall finish looks good on my carbon wheels. The tyres were easy to fit. They have come up a little narrower than some other brands I have used on these wheels
Pros & Cons

Fine tires
Excellent tires. Did many safe and enjoyable miles on the previous set. Highly recommended!

great experience with Mantel
very competitive price for a top quality road tyre which is difficult to source in the large size at the moment, you will pay significantly more on other websites, delivery was fast, very pleased with purchase

Great value for money
For years my favorite tire. To put the tire on for the first time, I put talcum powder in my hand and run the edge of the tire through it. Putting it on goes a lot smoother1
Pros & Cons

Very good
Very smooth running, grips the road well. Best tire so far.
Pros & Cons

Excellent tire
Good rolling and reliable tire

Fantastic tires, for me no other brand anymore
When I bought my new bike, it unfortunately did not have Conti's on it. Glad I quickly fixed that. With rainy weather in the Limburg hills, no problem. Good rolling resistance and easy to mount. No need to look any further.
Pros & Cons

Top quality tire
If you coat the edges of the tire with Teflon you can get it on the rim better.

good tires , little rolling resistance , difficult to mount
Very difficult to mount ( Mavic ust wheel)

Good and fast tire
When I mounted it on my bike I immediately noticed that it is very fast. I don't feel the tire is very durable. I see a number of times it says it is difficult to mount, I myself think that is not so bad.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Top material
Band definitely recommended
Pros & Cons
2 / 5
Nice but not 25mm and thus not the desired or expected tire
This 25mm is less wide than my previous 25mm. This one rather 23mm. So gives much less comfort. Wonder if a 28mm would then match a 25 from before?????
Pros & Cons

Super product with a price, yours, super advantageous
Unmatched value for money! Excellent in every respect. A reference for the category
Pros & Cons

A band that gives more than value for money
Fully meets expectations

Always been a fan, until now...
They just wear out too hard. Never had a flat, but they cost me a fortune in tires every year. Recently I recommended Pirelli's Cinturato, which literally lasts twice as long. And in terms of resistance, it is not that bad.

Finally a skinwall tire from Continental
Have had several skinwall tires on my rims. First Victoria's super satisfied with only wear fairly quickly. Then tried Schwalbe One but no success. Then Pirelle P Zero. Top tire. The reason for all these other brands was that Continental had no skinwall tires. But now they do. Had some doubts after reading that quite a few users found the tires very difficult to fit. Well with me they went on without any problems. Rims are 50mm high. Tires were on both front and rear within minutes. Haven't ridden them yet. Will complete review later with road conditions.
Pros & Cons

No improvement over predecessor
Setback in that this tire is less comfortable and wears faster than the GP 4000 SII
Pros & Cons

Na aanraden van vele gekocht, zeer tevreden van
32mm onder gravelbike, 1500 km, 0 keer lek gereden, weinig of geen visiuele schade tot dusver, zeer tevreden.

After positive experiences now less so.
After seeing that my previous set of GP5000 needed replacing (after almost 5000km) after much consideration I ordered these last week. Day later in house and mounted. Upon returning home Sunday after 2 long rides I notice a superficial damage on the rear tire. On additional inspection this morning a 2nd one where the inner tube is visible. So that one can already go in the bin. No different ride than usual. The rating becomes 3 stars because 1st set did not cause any problems. This 2nd one did.
Pros & Cons
2 / 5
Cycles great, but punctures way too quickly!
After previously cycling very many kilometers without problems on the GP4000, last year I switched to the GP5000. In the meantime we are already on the 2nd set. Not because they are so pleasant, but because they leak very quickly. This is definitely my last set of GP5000 because I hardly dare to make a long trip on this set anymore. It may be bad luck, but as I read I am not the only one with this experience.
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Far too expensive for what it is worth.
After less than 1000 km a cut in the side so it can go in the trash. Inner tube comes through. Also not so good experiences in terms of durability with the 4 seasons tire. I will avoid continental in the future. Far too expensive for what it is worth.
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Too narrow
Always liked these tires but apparently there is a new version that is narrower than before. 25 mm is actually 23 mm, with my previous set of tires it was 26 mm.
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Junk, paid almost €90 and after 4 weeks already totally used up!
Purchased through Mantel. Within 200 KM 2x punctures, front and rear. Then braked for crossing duck and profile runs flat totally off resulting in a complete hole.
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
Fine handling, but durability is questionable.
Just put on the 3rd Conti GP5000 in 2021 already. Hope this one lasts longer than just 900 km. With the previous 2 tires, cracks appeared in the sidewall of the tire, causing me to have flat tires all the time. I never experienced this with its predecessor, the GP4000. Although I am a Conti fan, this will be the last time if this tire does not also last ± 5000 km (which I easily achieved with the GP4000). I would almost think it is a manufacturing defect because I read an earlier review with pictures about this (see Tessa on March 31, 2021) and with me the 2 previous tires tore in the exact same place.... Can't you (Mantel) claim/claim something with Continental, is becoming a very expensive hobby this way.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Low rolling resistance but wears slightly faster.
Good tire Rolls well Does wear out quickly.
5 / 5
Great band!
For years I have been riding Conti, first the 4000, then the 4000 S2 and now the 5000. I like the latter variant although you do notice that it runs out a little faster than the S2. Also, with each upgrade marks the tires get a few euros more expensive, you wonder what they bring extra.... I have not been able to discover this yet.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Good quality
Completely meets the expectation have been riding with this tire for years
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Good value for money
4000 km without a leak
Pros & Cons

Have Gp5000 on 4 bikes
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
The standard for recreational cyclists with ambition
Excellent tire, not the cheapest but worth the security
Pros & Cons

always great tyres - now looking better with new sidewall colour
Probably the best tyre for general sporting use (Interestingly these 25C sized up exactly the same as my old GP5000s that were labelled 23C: both measured 25mm on the same rims!)
Pros & Cons

Best tyres
Good
Pros & Cons

Good tires, quickly changed by Mantel service point Nijmegen.
New tires on the bike, cycles great again!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
De ideale upgrade van je originele set banden.
Comfortabele en snelle banden omdat de 28mm breedte lagere druk toelaat en tegelijk de rolweerstand verlaagt.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
My top tire at all times
First class tire, safe to ride and puncture resistant
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Top but recent bad experience due to crack
Normally I am very satisfied with the Contentinal GP, before the GP 5000 I always used the GP 4000. Unfortunately today a bad experience with the GP 5000. There is a tear on the side of the tire. The tire is only 2 months old (+- 2000km). I had to take the outer tire off twice due to punctures. Very strange that the tire tears so early. Brake pads checked but that's not the problem. Is this covered by any warranty?

I drive for years and am still very Satisfied with it! Last year I drove with a Conti set over 8500km puncture-free!
Pros & Cons

My regular go to tire for every bike
Good tire, stable bike experience no matter how the road surface is. Less chance of punctures due to the good protection.
Pros & Cons

Super soepel rijdende banden en eenvoudig te monteren!
Fantastisch soepele band en goede grip, zelfs op vochtige straatklinkers voelen ze nog steeds vertrouwd!
2 / 5
Mwah, mediocre band
Fine tire, but can't remotely match the gp4000s2. That tire lasted around 4500 km without puncturing too often. The 5k significantly more
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Super band
Super tire, rides even better than 4000SII
5 / 5
Nothing to complain about except the price
The product exceeds my expectations
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fine band
This seems to be the best all round band and so far nothing but good
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fine band
Great tire, putting it on takes a little more energy, but it works!
5 / 5
Exceptional grip
Top product that manages to improve especially in durability and smoothness the excellent characteristics of its predecessor, also highly recommended for those who do not do but want the best especially in terms of safety.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Do not hesitate!
The choice between winter tires and summer tires is no longer necessary with these. With continental's you drive all year round, in any type of weather, with excellent tires.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Top product!
Ordered tapes in combo pack with indoor fires. Delivered quickly and installation went smoothly.
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
Tire too tight to mount smoothly - once mounted okay
I have been using Conti's for years, but am not so satisfied with the 5000 series. It is simply too difficult to mount. With an aluminum rim I don't mind using a tire lever, but with an expensive carbon rim I really don't like it. In my workshop it is already a chore for 2 people, let alone if you have a flat somewhere on your own. Conti really needs to improve this in the next series!
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
Fitting is very difficult; so far this tire rides superbly.
Still too little riding experience with these tires for an informed judgment. This is the first tire I have had problems mounting on Campagnolo-Eurus rims. Tried all the known tricks and it worked, but with the skins off my hands!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Just fine band
Nice tire and good to mount if you are a little handy and just be careful when inflating that he lies all right
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Excellent value for money
Cycles wonderfully
Pros & Cons

GP remains a good band
GP is and remains a good tire, putting it on was a bit more difficult as the precursor though
Pros & Cons

These are just fine bands. Minus points I haven't discovered yet. Good thing no one charges the recommended retail price, or few cyclists would buy them. Buy.

Superband!
Since about 3 years I switched from Vittoiria's to Continental, formerly the 4000, and now the 5000 series.I used to ride standard with the 23 mm width, then with the switch to Continental tried the 25 mm width and what a difference and comfort !!! Now I once got the 28 mm version, only rode 1 ride with it yet but this will surely be ok. I ride with the continentals everywhere, gravel, cobblestones, trails, regular roads, and in those 3 years I had 2 punctures. As long as I ride the bike no other brand for me than Continental !
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fine tire. Little rolling resistance
Wears a little faster than the gp4000 but rides wonderfully
5 / 5
Good tires
Durable and fast tires
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Fun to bike with!
Good tire to have on the bike. But a little harder to get heb on it!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Great tire.
I've only done 500km with the continental gp5000s, but I think they're already very good. I had installed a new Vredestein on my rear wheel, and I had two punctures in a week.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Durability and comfort
On 6500 km 1 puncture rear tire, front tire no leaks With 28mm comfort on 6 bar Top quality tire
