Great tire for great price

- Karel J., 16 December, 2020

Highly puncture resistant and track resistant

- Carlos, 2 December, 2020

Since switching to the continental GP4000 two years ago, all I can say is that it was the best decision ever. Now with the arrival of the GP5000, that satisfaction has only increased. The tires roll smoothly, are very resistant to punctures and wear, and they give you a lot of confidence when cornering, and this in both dry and wet conditions. No more other tires for me.

Pros & Cons

Super in the curves
Very little puncturing

Outstanding band

- Hans, 2 December, 2020

In summer with Conti inner tubes of 50 grams, the rest of the year Conti inner tubes of 105 grams. With the 50 gram inner tubes, the GP5000 runs nicer. The sound of my aluminum wheels is then like music. So far (1900km) I did not ride a flat. When I go into the mountains in the summer I mount the 105 gram tubes for safety reasons. I have the GP5000 in the 25mm version. These ride better in all respects than the 23mm.

Pros & Cons

Fairly wear-resistant
No punctures yet

Upgrade of the band is super

- Kenny, 28 November, 2020

After having always used the 4000 series, I switched to the 5000 series and I am very satisfied with it. The rolling resistance is even less than with the previous series and the grip in wet weather is even better, which means that the quality of the effort is at its highest.

Pros & Cons

Fits very well to the rim
Less rolling resistance
Perfect grip in rainy weather
Difficult to pull on the rim

Better 4000 II S

- JULIO, 23 November, 2020

I have ridden with them about 2000 kms, they go well, but I don't like them. They deceive in the specification, the 25mm (1") ones don't even reach 23mm and they are extremely tight to the rim, it is impossible to mount them by hand. The tires MUST BE MOUNTED AND REMOVED BY HAND with no detachables. I use Lightweight wheels and these wheels do not use tire levers. I have discarded this tire and do not recommend it to my customers.

Pros & Cons

Lightness and grip
Impracticable by hand.
Not recommended for touring cyclists.

The best tires for their money

- Jorian, 5 October, 2020

Before this I had 25mm Grand Prix 3000 tires. I wanted new tires for that so I went for the upgraded version + 28mm tires. What a difference. More grip, it rolls smooth(er), you can (if you want) ride around with less air pressure and very affordable! - Mike, 25 September, 2020

Have been a loyal user of the Conti's for some time now. Bought a new bike this summer and it came with the Vitoria pro tires, fine but I missed the sharpness and the familiar feeling in the corners, it seems like these tires stick to the road, and yet a lower rolling resistance. Do have the idea that with the 4000's I had fewer punctures, but that could be coincidence.

- Jordy, 23 August, 2020

My worn out 23mm tire was in need of replacement. Was hesitating between this one and the schwalbe durano. Went for a little less rolling resistance (no idea if I'll notice it uber). Despite the scary reviews warning that the tire is hard to fit, I ordered and got it fitted. With 2 men and sore thumbs though, but without tire levers. The tire rides a lot more comfortably than my old 23mm, it also feels like it has more grip. And of course I feel much faster ;) (but I guess that's the placebo effect with new gear).

- Jan, 12 August, 2020

For a long time I hated buying new tires, also because I am not a handy guy to put them on. I finally decided to go for it and it was not that bad. Despite the fact that it is sometimes recommended not to use a tire lever, I did so for the last bit. Only did 1 ride, but just unimaginable the difference with my previous tires. I came from an old mediocre Bontrager tire, but the grip, confidence and speed through the corners on these Continentals and also straights; I've never ridden so well (and fast). Fine tire ( after about 400km) durability I-figure can't say anything about it. Rolling resistance seems great than mn previous tire (grand prix 4000S II)

Too tight, leaks quickly and takes away all your fun.

Do you always want to stand on the shoulder of the road, make a weekly splash with your Co2 pump and never get your tires properly on your rim? Then this is the tire for you! Since these folding tires, I have been puncturing both front and rear at least weekly. 16 times in three months to be exact. After I replaced them with p-zero's all the trouble was gone: never again a flat. These tires are so thin, if you look at them they are already flat. And warranty? Hell no. Lost a fortune on tubes and cartridges, not to mention the purchase price of these tires.

Pros & Cons

Can't get around your rim
Leak as soon as you look at it
