The extra wide aluminium mounting plate reduces pressure on the handlebar and handlebar stem.

This stem is made out of 6061 aluminium. That's fine, but aluminium stems with a higher-grade alloy are lighter and more rigid.
This stem is not compatible with the Scott Addict RC.
