The Shimano SLX WH-MT620 MTB wheels are part of the SLX M7100 groupset. With an internal rim width of 30 mm, the WH-MT620 wheels are best for endurance riding. This, in contrast to the narrower WH-MT600. The wide rims, in combination with wide tyres, provide a lot of comfort and grip on rough descents. These Shimano WH-MT620 wheels are compatible with Shimano 12 speed MicroSpline cassettes. The pre-installed tubeless rim tape makes it easy to ride tubeless with the SLX WH-MT500 wheels. Punctures are almost a thing of the past! A tubeless setup also reduces rolling resistance and improves grip and comfort.

Body types required for 12-speed
Some 12-speed cassettes require a 10/11-speed Shimano/SRAM body. This includes the SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 cassette, as well as all other 12-speed MTB cassettes with an 11-teeth cog as the smallest cog. MTB cassettes with a 10-teeth cog as the smallest cog require a specialized body. In Shimano's case, this is the Micro-Spline body, and in SRAM's case it's the XD body.
