The SRAM Red 1 crankset is made with a single blade for combining with the Sram XPLR gravel groupset. Lightweight and rigid for the best power transfer and usability. The Sram Red 1 crankset has a choice of a 40T or 46T chainring. What is the best ratio for you depends on your environment. If you have to climb a lot, you will want to pedal more lightly. If you mainly ride on flat tracks, the larger sprocket is more suitable.
X-SYNC
The Sram Red 1 crankset is equipped with the X-SYNC narrow-wide chainring. This technology ensures that the chain cannot run off the front sprocket by using narrow and wide teeth on the chainring. In combination with a rear derailleur with a higher cage tension, the chain can handle any vibration without coming off.
