At the core of this rear derailleur is its strong and lightweight carbon cage, which keeps overall weight low and provides the stiffness needed for precise shifting action on bumpy trails. The rotating parts are fitted with high-quality ceramic bearings that minimise friction resistance, allowing the chain to rotate more efficiently and pedalling power to be better converted into forward speed. The innovative Full Mount design engages directly with the frame through the Hangerless Interface, completely eliminating the vulnerable traditional derailleur pad. This results in an extremely robust attachment that is highly resistant to the hard impact of rocks and branches, significantly improving shifting precision.

To prevent chain chatter, SRAM has integrated an MTB-inspired spring clutch that ensures excellent chain retention on rough surfaces. Another major and striking advantage is the lack of adjustment screws, which makes mounting easier and tighter than ever. Plus, several parts of the derailleur are replaceable and rebuildable in case of damage. The AXS wireless system is powered by a battery compatible with all existing units.

This SRAM RED XPLR AXS rear derailleur is compatible with all SRAM Force AXS components. Thus, you can use it with SRAM Rival shifters, but also, for example, with Force shifters or the SRAM Eagle MTB shifter.
