The Abus Urban I 4.0 ACE e-bike helmet combines sophisticated safety features with a modern, urban look. The design feels secure on the head and offers excellent visibility in the dark. Thanks to the clever magnetic fastening and the rechargeable rear light with 4 different modes, every bike ride gets a safe and comfortable upgrade.
Materials and construction
The helmet features an in-mould construction, in which the shock-absorbing EPS foam is moulded directly into the polycarbonate outer shell. This seamless bond ensures robust protection on the road. The addition of a hard shell to the lower edge protects the structure from scratches and everyday wear and tear. The 16 ventilation openings create a cooling airflow over the head, and inside there are soft comfort pads that enhance the fit and can be washed for lasting freshness.
Smart features
The Urban-I 4.0 ACE model is fitted with a rechargeable magnetic rear light. This bright light strip clicks securely onto the back of the helmet and charges via a USB-C cable. With IP44 certification, the light is rain shower resistant. The innovative Fidlock magnetic fastening allows you to easily adjust the chin strap with just one hand. The special Trivider strap distributor prevents the straps from brushing against your face while cycling. The removable sun visor shields your eyes from bright light, and extra features such as a reflective sticker and a built-in insect net increase safety and comfort on every ride. Even with all these features, the helmet weighs just 280 grams.

The Zoom Spin adjustment system uses a dial at the back of the helmet. This mechanism allows you to customise the circumference for a precise snug fit on your skull. The helmet is designed to fit head circumferences ranging from 54 to 64 centimetres, across several sizes. A handy opening at the back provides sufficient space for a ponytail or braid to be pulled through. The design is specifically certified for use on e-bikes, trekking bikes and standard city bikes.
