Good disc brake

- Chris, 21 February, 2026

The discs look nice when on the fiest, easy to fit and have good stopping power. Had trouble choosing because I wasn't sure what they meant by external or internal lockring. But teeth on the outside is external and teeth on the inside is internal lockring..... well how hard can it be ;-)

Pros & Cons

Extra lock ring included
Good stopping power
Nice

Powerful and quiet

- Gerard, 16 September, 2025

Compared to the RT-MT800, I've gained in power and didn't notice any noise or vibration during the descent of Mont Ventoux in cautious mode (so the brakes were more solicited).

a lot better than my previous stock discs
also works well on less good calipers
feels very safe during hard descents
good discs

Good value for money.

- Roel, 15 October, 2024

Nice discs. They are similar in specifications to the more expensive (Dura Ace) version. I find no difference except that the more expensive version has black 'cooling surfaces' in the disc and these are silver. The XTR version is still a bit lighter but a bit clunkier in shape. Discs are plug and play, absolutely straight and they brake very well straight out of the box. Definitely recommended.

Pros & Cons

Good braking power
Light
Nicely shaped
Same weight as Dura Ace, but cheaper
