Just Good Brake Pads!!!
Fine aftermarket brake pads that do just fine if you want braking power. The fact that they wear out a little faster has to be offset against less whining noise and less number of miles you can drive with them. But a wise saying is "Braking costs Speed so do it as little as possible!!!"

Price/quality great alternative
Good alternative to the original shimano brake pads. Same braking power but quite a bit cheaper. Not yet tested on long descents though so no experience with heating
