Assos Mille GT Ultraz Winter EVO

I wore it a few days ago whilst coming down from the Stelvio at 11.00 pm. The temperature certainly wasn’t wintry – I’d say around 10 degrees – but the air from the Stelvio was still quite crisp. The jacket kept me completely warm; I’m really keen to try it out in proper winter conditions too. I hope to confirm this initial positive impression on future occasions. I had to buy it in a hurry and had to go for the men’s model, so I chose size XS. It’s not quite as tailored in the fit (e.g. tight at the waist and looser on top; I hope I don’t find it’s ‘short’, meaning that after wearing it for hours I don’t find it riding up from my waist). So far, I haven’t noticed anything in particular; I like the perceived protection from the wind, and that’s already a lot. Of course, the body will still feel the cold as other parts are exposed, but I reckon my chest will be really well protected with this jacket.

No problem riding a mountain bike at -6 degrees. Note: Although Assos recommended size M (tight around the hips, loose across the chest), I opted for size S. The jacket fits like a second skin.

This jacket feels fantastic. Been using it for weather up to +8C. After that it becomes quite warm, yet it is still breathable and eliminates sweat as a champ. The sizing guides on the assos website and mantel is spot-on.

excellent as always. but they have changed the sizes, they still fit tight but are now very long for my height

I used for the first time with temperatures of 0º, very well, a thermal and the jacket and I have not felt cold. On a few climbs I sweated a bit but then I didn't feel cold. I criticize the sleeves because as almost always I feel them longer than necessary. It is comfortable and looks very good quality... but I think its price is exaggerated. By the way, 1.69 63 kg, size xs, it fits very tight but well.

Purchased to cycle to work with, solves all expectations, keeps me warm on cold mornings, my first reaction was oy that is thin, I did not know Assos, is not cheap but well worth its money.
