According to the product specialist

Pros
The stiff and lightweight carbon composite sole optimises power transfer.
Thanks to the TPU lugs, you can also use these gravel shoes off the bike.
The BOA IP1 dial mechanism enables you to create the perfect fit.
Extra reinforcement has been added to the heel for more comfort and a better fit.
The 100% carbon insert at the contact area of the shoe and pedal makes the shoe very stiff.
The strategically placed TPU material makes the shoe very sturdy.
Northwave's double SLW-2 fastening system makes it easy to adjust the shoe with great precision.
Cons
The Velcro strap may lose some of its efficiency when often splashed with dirt.
The sole is not entirely made of carbon, which makes it slightly less stiff than a full carbon sole.
