The Maxxis Assegai is suitable for technical descents on sand and forest terrains in both dry and wet conditions.
Equipped with a relatively stiff carcass which makes the tyre suitable for highly technical descents over tree roots or rocks.
The Assegai 3C MaxxTerra EXO TR has a good balance between grip, durability and rolling resistance.
Thanks to the EXO protective layer in the sidewall, the Assegai is protected from cuts.
Tubeless Ready technology makes the tyres easy to make tubeless with 90ml of latex sealant per tyre.
Cons
As the Maxxis Assegai 3C MaxxTerra EXO TR is a very wide tyre, this tyre can only be used with bike frames which have sufficient space.
Tubeless sealant should generally be topped up every 3-6 months.
