Pros
The 19 mm wide rim makes it possible to mount tyres from 25 to 32 mm wide. The wide rim in combination with a wider tyre gives you a lot of comfort, grip and a low rolling resistance.  
The UST tubeless system has a tight connection between rim and tyre. This keeps the tire under pressure without latex and can even be inflated with a normal bicycle pump.
The Aksium wheelset is equipped with durable and well-sealed Mavic QRM 2RS bearings. Dirt and moisture are less likely to affect the bearings, which improves the service life.
After registering the wheels on the Mavic website, the factory warranty is extended from 2 to 3 years.
The low weight of 1595 grams offers numerous advantages, such as easier acceleration after a turn and faster uphill riding.
Excellent all-round wheelset because of their balance between rigidity, weight, and rim depth.
Good power transfer thanks to the G3 spoke pattern, the high flange and shorter spokes in the rear wheel.
These wheels are very popular because of their extremely interesting price/performance ratio and are the counterpart to the Fulcrum Racing 3 at a more interesting price level.
Multi-purpose from training to racing, both in hilly terrain and on flat roads.
Cons
The Mavic Aksium Elite UST wheelset is only available with Shimano 10-11 speed body. A Mavic FTS-L Campagnolo body is available as an option.  
The larger distance between the individual spokes makes it harder to true the wheel.
