The hardened brake surface wears out less quickly than a regular brake track.
The black brake track and G3 spoke pattern in the rear wheel gives this set a unique look.
The low weight and shallow rim makes for a great set of climbing wheels and they're highly suitable for all-round use.
The low weight of only 1555 grams in combination with the 45mm high rim, makes the Scope S4 wheels a very good all-round wheelset that can compete with the Zipp 303.

The black brake track can eventually lose its colour because of wear.
There is not much choice in brake pads. For the best braking performance and long life of the rims you should use Scope brake pads.
The carbon rim brake structure makes this wheel less suitable for long mountain descents with the risk of blowouts or rim deformation.
The larger distance between the individual spokes makes it harder to true the wheel.
Relatively heavy wheelset but not uncommon in this price range.
