Description

Description

The Favero Assioma PRO pedals give you insight into your power output. Furthermore, your cadence is measured as standard and you get extra insight into your pedalling efficiency through handy extras. Thanks to the good connectivity, you can easily connect the pedals to your cycling computer or training app.

Accurate and reliable
From a power meter you'd expect an extremely accurate reading and the Favero Assioma Pro is certainly no exception. With a deviation of around 1%, this powermeter has a very reliable reading. The Favero Assioma PRO power meter pedals measure exactly how fast your legs are spinning during the entire pedalling process. Many powermeters assume a constant speed, however this is not the case with, for example, oval blades. These power pedals can therefore be used with oval blades, unlike many other powermeters.

Difference single- and double-sided
In the single-sided measurement, your power is measured only in your left pedal. This value is doubled, giving an indication of total power. With the double-sided pedals, your power is measured in both the left and right pedals. This makes the power values more accurate and gives you additional data. Thus, your power output delivered while sitting or standing is charted and compared.

Insight into your power distribution
By using the power stage, you can see where you deliver the most power in your rotation. In addition, the Platform Centre Offset (PCO) measurement shows how you distribute your power across your pedals. Finally, the left-right balance on the double-sided powermeter gives insight into the power distribution between both legs.

Rechargeable battery and battery life
The pedals use an internal rechargeable battery that lasts up to 60 hours on a single charge. The batteries are charged through a magnetic charger. This keeps the charger securely in place while charging, also ensuring you don't have to search for a charging port every time.

Waterproof, solid and replaceable
These pedals have an IP67 certification. Because they have no charging port or other openings, they are very resistant to splashing dirt and moisture. With this, you are assured of accurate power data even in worse weather conditions. The pedals are robust and have a sturdy and lightweight body, but should a part break, you can easily replace it. All pedal parts are available separately via Favero.

User tips

Training with a powermeter
If you want to get better or want more insight into your performance, you can train more specifically with a powermeter. Also afterwards you can better see what you have trained. A powermeter gives, compared to for example a heart rate monitor, data that is much more accurate. This is because your heart rate has many influences of external factors such as temperature or fatigue, a power meter objectively shows what power you are pedalling.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between pedal power meters like this Assioma PRO and crank arm power meters, for example?
The main advantage of the Pedalpowermeter is that it is relatively simple to change from bike to bike. Handy if you have multiple bikes! It is not inferior to other types of powermeters in terms of measurement accuracy. Moreover, the availability of spare parts also means you can do with these pedals for a very long time.

How do I calibrate the Assioma PRO pedals?
In principle, you do not need to calibrate these pedals, they do that automatically. However, it is advisable to put the bike straight on the road so that the calibration is correct. If you still want to calibrate the pedals, that's no problem either. The old data will then simply be overwritten by the new calibration.
