The newest Shimano 12-speed groups feature the Microspline technology. These hubs are a clever trick to fit more sprockets on the mountain bike. If you have a mountain bike with a Shimano 1x12 drivetrain and want to use it on a direct drive trainer, this was impossible before. Now, thanks to this adapter, it is possible and even easy as can be!
