This AbsoluteBLACK PVD Rainbow Oval Boost Sram Direct Mount MTB chainring is a unique chainring with a low weight, high durability and very bling appearance!
Thanks to titanium extra durable and oil slick color
This blade is made of light and strong 7075 aluminum, over which a layer of titanium has been applied. Thanks to this titanium layer, this chainring is extra wear-resistant and therefore lasts a lot longer. In addition, this titanium gives the possibility to give the blade an oil slick color. This color is obtained through what AbsoluteBlack calls the Physical Vapor Deposition treatment. This treatment gives each chainring a unique oil slick color, which looks super bling in your mountain bike!
Oval for better pedaling efficiency
The AbsoluteBLACK PVD Rainbow Oval Boost Sram Direct Mount MTB chainring has an oval shape. Thanks to this shape, pedaling efficiency and power transmission are improved, because you do not have a 'dead spot' while cycling. Due to the lack of this dead center, the power transmission is much more gradual, so that there is less pressure on your knees. This also reduces the risk of knee injuries from cycling.
Narrow-Wide grinding, good removal of dirt and mud
The teeth of this AbsoluteBLACK PVD Rainbow Oval Boost Sram Direct Mount MTB chainring have been given a narrow-wide grind. This makes the chain even tighter on the chainring, so that the chance is much smaller that the chain will fall off. Large openings have also been placed in the chainring so that dirt and mud are properly removed.

I took the same size as already fitted, I got used to the oval very quickly, what surprised me very positively was the easier climbing on steep sections and a lot less stress on my knees due to the lack of the dead centre. An oval is great

I use the chainring on my enduro bike, the chain is perfectly pre-tensioned due to the oval shape, which saves me the chain guide. The bike pedals much more homogeneously uphill. The look is simply ingenious, blends in perfectly with the Rainbow chain/cassette. The chainring has good self-cleaning properties.
