Vision SC 55 Disc Road Bike Wheels

The Vision SC 55 Disc road bike wheels for disc brakes feature the same rims as in the Metron series. This allows you to enjoy the same aerodynamic performance as in the higher end of the Vision wheel range. With a depth of 55 mm the aerodynamic SC 55 Disc is the "big" brother of the more all-round Vision SC 40 Disc wheels. The SC 55 has a 55 mm deep aerodynamic carbon rim for use on flat or hilly terrain; as long as it is at high speed! The Vision SC 55 Disc carbon wheels have been developed using extensive wind tunnel testing and on the road with professional cyclists from Vision's sponsored teams. With a weight of 1680 grams, the wheels are quite light for deep carbon wheels. Vision has managed to find a nice balance between low weight, aerodynamics and comfort.

Vision has equipped its SC 55 Disc wheels with 19 mm wide tubeless ready rims. This allows you to choose whether you want to ride with inner tubes or tubeless tyres. With an internal rim width of 19 mm the rims are quite wide, which allows for riding with wide tyres on the SC 55’s. The ability to ride both tubeless and with wide tyres increases comfort, reduces the risk of punctures while also providing more grip and lower rolling resistance. The wheels are hand-spoked, which means that the pressure distribution of the spokes is optimal and the wheels do not need to be re-tightened quickly. The self-locking ABS spoke nipples ensure that the aero spokes remain perfectly in place.
