A special feature of the VR trainer is the course is not only being displayed on your pc screen, its transmitting real-life signals to your bike.
During a climb you will feel the gradient through the rear wheel and in a decent its like you have wings. The Ironman comes with the Tacx Trainer software 4 Advanced (NOTE: only for Windows). With this cutting-edge software you enter an almost real-life world, but is tacx its virtual world while riding your Tacx trainer. The world on your screen is indistinguishable from reality. Once you have tried it, you will never want to return.
Downhill drive
The Ironman has an wireless motor brake with computer-driven flywheel that generates high power at low speeds. Herewith hills and mountains can be climbed with a more realistic feel. There is even a drive for descents.
The PowerBack system ensures the heat from the brake, is converted in energy and fed back into the electrical grid. This means you're creating your own energy. LED-lights in the brake indicate bike speed and power output. The communication between brake, VR interface and PC is wireless; the trainer does need AC power.
