- As this is a hard saddle, you may need to cycle quite often and long to get used to it. It offers the best support for longer rides. If you cycle less than three times a week, you need a softer saddle that offers more comfort.

The SQlab Ergowave Active 2.1 saddle is sturdy and lightweight, and designed to give you as much comfort as possible. Thanks to the raised rear, you sit directly on your seat bones, making a painful seat (once you have got used to the saddle) a thing of the past. SQlab's Active technology makes the back of the saddle move slightly along with your movements, increasing comfort and reducing stress on your seat bones and vertebrae. The saddle's nose is relatively short and narrow to make it easier for you to sit in a deep aggressive cycling position. As the design of the saddle is uniform, it is suitable for all genders.

The 612 Ergowave Active 2.2 saddle is designed with road cycling in mind. With a flat and narrow MaxContact® saddle nose, it gives you plenty of room to move in aerodynamic positions. Also, the 612 has relatively firm padding for optimal power transfer, and so it is ideal for higher speeds on the road!

Ergowave design
The Ergowave design of SQlab saddles looks a bit like a wave. The raised back provides effective support and optimal pressure distribution while cycling, making every ride more comfortable and improving power transfer. The front of the saddle is lower so that the front of your body does not touch it. Combined with the cut-out at the centre of the saddle, this shape ensures that your soft tissue area does not get painful, even when you ride in an aerodynamic position!
Active technology
SQlab's Active technology works with a swappable elastomer in the back of the saddle. This elastomer ensures that the saddle follows your natural cycling movements. It mobilises your lower vertebrae and reduces pressure on your seat bones. This movement stimulates the muscles and vertebrae as you cycle, reducing the chance of lower back pain. As a result, SQlab saddles with Active technology are very comfortable. Three different elastomers are available separately, with different degrees of movement, so you can surely find a setup that works best for you.
