Helped perfectly and cheaply.
My 47-year-old pump first had a faulty rubber, but new rubbers turned out not to help because of too small etc. Because the copper part in which the rubber had to go had bad threads in the meantime, I searched local bike shops, but they didn't have it in stock and told me it was no longer available. So on their advice, I bought a new pump that was actually identical to mine, though newer of course and with a different system. This system had a big disadvantage that after inflating your tyre or tube, you lose pressure again when you remove the pump. I searched the internet for the umpteenth time for a cheaper solution and found it with you. 1 day after receiving the part, I went back to the bike shop with my self-repaired old pump, gave them the explanation, they took their pump back and paid me and I told them that this part was still available. (It was even pictured on the packaging of their bicycle pumps). So all's well that ends well, I hope they realise that you can't just tell every customer things and they will now investigate on their own. Communicated the details to them, so who knows.
