Shimano XT M8020 MTB Wheels

The Shimano XT M8020 wheels are basically identical to the XT M8000 wheels, except these are fitted with through axles and a slightly wider rim. The wider rim offers better handling characteristics as the tyre can maintain its shape better through corners. The hubs feature a 15 mm through axle at the front, and 12 mm at the rear, creating a more rigid unit.

Shimano focused on 2 points when they developed the M8020 wheels: weight reduction and durability. Shimano wouldn't be Shimano if they hadn't succeeded at realising both. The wheels are lighter than the previous generation of XT wheels. They use tubeless-ready aluminium rims with a width of 20 and 24 mm. Each rim offers a wider platform to suit the ever larger mountain bike tyres used these days. These wheels are lightweight, fast, and ready to fly through the woods and across the trails!
