Shimano Dura Ace WH-R9100 C60 Road Bike Wheels

The Shimano Dura Ace R9100 C60 wheelset is part of the R9100 series. This model is particularly suitable for use on flat roads because of the 50 mm deep rims. Despite the name change, these rims are just as deep at 50 mm as their predecessors, The Dura Ace 9000 C50.

The rims have a clean look and are adorned with the well-known silver font. Shimano is known for producing low-maintenance and durable hubs for years now. By using a deeper rim, the spokes are shorter, reducing their flexibility and improving their power transfer efficiency. Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.

• Pay attention to the direction of travel when mounting your tyres.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette.
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim.
