Worthless tyres
Worthless tyre. I have a lot of experience putting tyres on, but could not get this one right. The bulge in the tyre remained. Tyres taken off and discarded, one 'green' illusion poorer.

Reliable, grippy and durable tyre.
It is my successor to the 2016 Marathon, on which I cycled 35,000 km (1x puncture). The Green Marathon (622-40) is smoother and handlebars neutral (the predecessor 'fell into the corner a bit'). Nicely, it is made almost entirely of recycled material, according to Schwalbe. Hopefully it turns out to be just as reliable. Centring requires some effort, otherwise you have a swaying tyre. Inherent in the tread is that pebbles get stuck in it. I remove them regularly to prevent damage/ punctures.

Tyre is generally quite sturdy and if properly inflated it can last about 10,000 km on a heavily packed holiday bike in a hilly area.

The tyres are good quality, as I have come to expect from Schwalbe. They are also easy to put on. Just remember the driving direction of the tyre.

fine tyre at a nice price
Tyre sits nicely on the rim, no stroke in the tyre despite straight rim. The tyre is also well balanced. If you spin the rear wheel hard, there is only a very slight imbalance. While mounting the tyre, it is very loose around the rim for my taste. If you don't pay attention, the rim falls out again as hard as you put it in.
