Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- This long cycling tight is designed for temperatures between 0°C and 10°C, ideal for winter rides and cool spring and autumn days.
- Dynashield 5000 main fabric with 8k/5k membrane is windproof and water-repellent, with a fleece lining for added warmth.
- The Active seat pad, with a maximum thickness of 9 mm, is a great entry-level model suitable for short- to medium-duration rides.
- Silicone grips at the leg ends keep the garment well in place while cycling.
- The zips at the ankles make the tight easy to put on and take off, even while wearing cycling shoes.
- Rather than bib straps, the tight is held in place by its fit and silicone grippers. During a high-intensity workout or when seated for longer periods, you might find a bib tight more comfortable because it keeps the chamois better in place.

The Rogelli Core long cycling tight is designed for cold days when you just want to keep cycling. With a temperature range of 0°C to 10°C, it is ideal for winter rides, crisp spring mornings and cool autumn days. The main fabric is Dynashield 5000, a fleece-bonded interlock with an 8k/5k membrane that blocks the wind and repels water. The Dynatherm Flex 260 panels improve your freedom of movement where you need it most.
As the tight has no bib straps, you can put it on and take it off quickly, and enjoy greater freedom of movement around your upper body. With a Race fit, the tight sits snugly for a sporty feel on the bike without any fabric flapping in the wind. The silicone grip in the leg ends keeps the tight in place, even when you are leaning low over the handlebars. The zips at the ankles make it easy to put on and take off, even when you are already wearing your cycling shoes.
The Active chamois has a maximum thickness of 9 mm and is the entry-level model in Rogelli's chamois range. It offers good cushioning for short- to medium-duration rides. If you cycle long distances on a regular basis, you are better off choosing legwear with a thicker or ergonomically shaped seat pad from our range of men’s bib tights.
Dynashield 5000 fabric with fleece lining
The main fabric is a 100% polyester interlock bonded on the inside to a 280 g/m² polyester fleece. The 8k/5k membrane blocks the wind and is water-repellent against splashes and light rain. The fleece lining retains heat and feels soft against the skin, which makes all the difference on cold mornings.
Dynatherm Flex 260 panels
The panels are made from Dynatherm Flex 260 (93% polyester, 7% elastane), weighing 190 g/m². This lighter, stretchy fabric is positioned where your legs move the most, ensuring the tight moves smoothly with you.
Active chamois
The Rogelli Active padding is the entry-level model with a maximum thickness of 9 mm. It is suitable for those new to cycling as well as those who ride frequently, and offers good cushioning for short- to medium-duration rides. For longer distances or several hours in the saddle, a thicker chamois may be a better choice.
Ideal for:
- Temperatures between 0°C and 10°C – winter rides and cool mornings in spring and autumn.
- Riders looking for a cycling tight without bib straps that they can put on and take off quickly.
- Riders who enjoy short- to medium-duration rides and want a comfortable entry-level chamois.
Not suitable for:
- Temperatures below 0°C – the Dynashield 5000 fabric blocks wind and spray, but in freezing conditions you will need additional insulation.
- Long distances and rides lasting several hours where you want maximum chamois comfort – for duch purposes, choose a cycling tight with a thicker or ergonomically shaped seat pad.
- Riders who prefer bib straps for better chamois positioning during high-intensity workouts.
Not sure about the size? Here’s how to check:
Measure your hip circumference at the widest point and your waist circumference at the narrowest point. Select your size in the order box based on these measurements. The Race fit is close-fitting; if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one for greater freedom of movement.
How to keep your Core Tight in good condition:
- Wash on a cold cycle and inside out: Select a cold cycle and turn the tight inside out to protect the silicone grippers and the reflective details.
- Use a mild detergent: Do not use a bio-detergent or fabric softener. Fabric softener impairs the water-repellent properties of the Dynashield fabric.
- Do not bleach or dry-clean: Both will damage the membrane and the coating.
- Hang the tight out to dry: Do not put it in the tumble dryer because heat damages the membrane and the silicone grippers.
- Take the tight off immediately after your ride and let it air out, or wash it straight away. Sweat that remains trapped in the chamois fabric will, over time, affect the quality of the chamois and cause odours to develop.
- The zips at the ankles work best if you open them before putting on your cycling shoes. This way, the zips cannot get caught on your shoes' laces or Velcro.
- Pair the Core Tight with a windproof jacket. In temperatures between 0°C and 10°C, the Dynashield 5000 fabric is warm enough for your legs but your upper body will need extra protection, especially in strong winds.
